No your company must join the bike2work scheme.

    As stated in the website:

    http://www.biketowork.ie/employee-information/
To obtain your voucher you need to:
    1. Your company signs up for the scheme.
    2. Visit your local participating bicycle shop to choose your equipment and obtain a written quote.
    3. Return the quotation to your HR scheme administrator to forward to Bike to Work to request a voucher.
    4. Once the voucher is requested Bike to work will invoice your employer for the bike package.
    5. Complete and sign the Purchase Agreement (which is sent to you by your company) and return it to your HR person, at your participating company.
    6. Once payment is made for the bike package by the company you collect your voucher from Human Resources.
    7. Redeem your voucher at the bike shop and collect your goods (you must provide your Company photo ID card or current Drivers license or Passport to do this).
not so, it is dependant on your employer, who may require you go thru the bike2work.ie company, but most will allow you used anyone you want. do not confuse bike2work.ie with the actual bike to work scheme, two seperate things. i hope your going with a boardman?

    Grrrr.

Government websites should be under .gov.ie.

It's a fúcking ridiculous situation where an official site can be confused with commercial operators.

bikescheme.ie is run by the "Green Party of Ireland". Is that the government, or the party in the government?

Better to go to revenue.ie. That's not under .gov.ie either.

    FFS.

In fairness, I'm impressed that a private company can offer to act as a point of contact in order to administer a scheme which requires almost zero administration.
