Satan is a half-man, half-dog that operates as a nefarious dentist. No, he'll have to do just a tad more to convince me.

Also, what was with the gasping at the hole in the clouds?

    Its sad really

The guy quite obviously has some serious issues, and though Ryan was always serious with him, it was obvious there was a definite undercurrent of ridicule to bringing him on in the first place.

I can't believe he thought that young girl was condemning him.

He's got a "holier than thou" issue.

I might take two weeks off work and write some bull**** book about Aliens and Lizards and Jesus and **** and give it away for free and see if I can get followers.

No doubt I'd have a bunch of followers by this time next year.

Joe should be locked up, but not just in a mental hospital, he should also face charges for tax evasion on the huge sums of cash he has received from vulnerable people looking for "healing". You need to heal with the Dept. Of Revenue Joe, you Loon!

This charlatan is as cute as a fox. You can be sure he's out to make money of vulnerable people. They'd get more reward in heaven giving their money to a more deserving cause of which there are many.::

He kept going on about how everyone should have open minds about the whole thing, yet his ignorance means that he won't accept people have different views. Thought he spoke quite rude as well.

Deluded and dangerous to other easily deluded people.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

Of all the cliched load of utter drivel. Sometimes I'm a desperate man, but this seeks new levels of pathetic mush, that I kind of can't believe it.

A couple of years ago two blokes from the Galway/Clare area were arrested for defrauding some elderly person of their life savings, a couple of hundred grand, I think. They had duped this poor person into believing they were healers and messengers from Mary and all that B****. They kept the deception going until they had pretty much drained her. But they were caught and jailed. One of them I knew through family connections, and knew quite a lot about him, he is an total scumbag, nasty and abusive. I know this because he had a relationship with a member of my family, whom he abused. Yet he was in the position to deceive this older person and keep up the pretext long enough to seem convincing. This I think is the important thing, if the person has the ability to hold on to their convictions long enough stupid and frightened people will start to believe them. Joe Coleman was doing this, holding on to the lie with such crazy conviction he was going to get many desperate followers.
Just because society has Wifi, iPads, and keyhole surgery doesn't mean it hasn't lost it's ample number of superstitious fools.
He could have at least spent a little time trying to devise a slightly different sense of dress and stars around her head, images first devised in pre- Renaissance art, a time fifteen hundred years after her supposed existence. Oh I despair.

    1 hour into the show

He has fallen off a roof and down the stairs - he is a nutcase

Heh, the GF believes this whole mullarkey (maybe not in terms of Coleman standards) and I gotta bite my knuckles from saying anything when she labels it as "real talent".....

...my hands are just stumps, now :( I type with my willy for those who want to know, very slow process - I started this post 3 hours ago. :pac:

But yea, good ol' Joe usually gives me a chuckle. Mad as a brush!

Ask her where are all the other billions of devoted followers of other religions around the world going when they die? According to Coleman there is only one God, so presumably they are worshipping false gods & going to hell no? Seriously ask her and see what she reckons

Real talent? With all due respect to your girl man, she must be fair citys' biggest fan.

This is a different nut to the nut I thought it was. Was there a younger fellah making predictions about knock.....?

    GA is good.

Why would the Late Late Show have this insane guy on?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 57,366 ✭✭✭✭walshb

Forgetting all the loony claims from Joe, did anyone get the feeling I got from him, simply and unlikable kinda' guy?

I mean, he is on claiming all god and holy etc etc, but there is just something very sullen and unlikable about him. Usually these freaks have that chemistry, spark, enthusiasm, fun and excitement about them; with Joe, it was just not there.

Its not like I have to date atheists exclusively. I have no problem dating a la carte 'cultural' catholics who express a belief in God but I don't think I could ever date someone who couldn't see through the ****e from the likes of Joe Coleman. I don't mean to disparage your GF mate....BUT....is she lovely but dense? Don't mistake the desire to protect and look after someone dim with romantic love :D

When the younger girl questioned him about his "prediction" of the ash cloud...you could visibly see the anger & aggitation in the man. He died, went to heaven, met Jesus, God and an Archangel during an operation on his foot?

The thing is, you will get these people in all walks of life...whats worrying is the blind faith some people put in him.

Oh yeah, the sun jumped outta the sky, danced around, turned into a green moon and returned to normal...all down in Knock. Nowhere else on the planet was with celestial event watchable...Knock rules!

They said he's a nutcase. Mainly because he believes in God and sees visions. So what? Maybe he does? Who are we to say he doesn't?

But just read the book on Sunday thinking it would be a load of crap. Have to say though it's a great read. In fact I couldn't put it down! I started it Sunday morning and stayed up till 2am reading it. The stuff in is totally fascinating.

Even if you do not believe in God or miralces this book is really unputdownable. And if what he says is true in the book then we are all in BIG DEEP ****!
