Found this website, advertised on facebook and other cycling sites. EPO is a performance enhancing supplement used by some endurance athletes and is banned in professional sports such as cycling. What do ye make of this site? Oh and just to be clear i'm not a doper :pac:

    :)

I think you may be misunderstanding what EPO is and what this product is.

EPO isn't a supplement. It's a hormone, produced naturally in the body (just like testosterone). It's function is to regulates red blood cells. Synthetically, it can be used as a performance enhancer (just like testosterone can be) where it increases red blood cell count and therefore oxygen levels.

This EPO-Boost is a herbal supplement made up of plants an minerals, it doesn't contain EPO. It supposedly increases the body's natural EPO levels. I'd question supposedly.

I knew what EPO was alright! EPO boost would be a supplement as described in your answer hence the name of the thread! EPO itself would also be a supplement of a hormone aswell I reckon because people take extra to increase performance? Just throwing it out there to see what people make of this sites product :) Dodgey enough in my opinion lol

It is always safe to assume that products which name themselves after banned IOC items are first and foremost never going to live up to their marketing claims and will usually be quite expensive.

    I'd stick with the basics.

EPO used for doping is an artificial version of EPO not a supplement designed to increase EPO production.

Either way i wouldnt trust the claims of that epoboost stuff
