iPhone and ipod touch internet security and firewalls...

    From looking through Cydia and Rock there seems to be one or two popular packages available to take care of firewall and security on the iPhone /Ipod.

    Is security really an issue with the iPhone &iPod ?
    Has anyone had any bad experiences?

    Does anyone use these packages and if so are they a help or a hinderance?
