tomato pasta sauces

    Are tomato pasta sauces such as ragu or dolmio low or high glyemic, what would their gi rating be ?

    Fairly high, unless you make them yourself. A lot of them have added sugar, and are designed to be low fat. Anything low fat and high sugar (even if most of the sugar is from fruit like tomato) will be high gi.

    It's so easy to make them yourself and way tastier! Just use tin of chopped tomatoes and add herbs. Also tonnes of veg! Onions, mushrooms, garlic and carrots!

    I prefere this to tinned sauces and much better for you!
