An ceart 'breithlá shona' nó 'breithlá sona' a rá? Is dóigh liom go bhfuil 'breithlá shona' ceart, ach má tá, cén fáth go bhfuil séimhiú ar 'sona'? Go raibh maith agaibh.

Is focal firinscneach é breithlá, mar sin níor chóir séimhiú a chur ar sona. Chuirfeá séimhiú air dá mbeadh ainmfhocal baininscneach i gceist.

Tuigim gur focal firinscneach é, ach mar pháistí d'fhoghlaimíomar an t-amhrán mar "Lá Breithe shona dhuit..."

Tá a fhios agam go bhfuil sé firinscneach, ach cén fáth mar sin go mbeadh sé foghlamtha mar 'breithlá shona' ag daoine eil agus agamsa freisin? Drochmhúinteoir nó an mbeadh cúis eile leis?
