    Chelsea v Portsmouth, 3pm.

Amazed there is no thread on this I guess both Liverpool and United fans probably consider the season is over on they are out of it.

This could be a decent game. Chelsea are overwhelming favorites but Portsmouth have turned over some great results despite relegation being assured and have nothing to lose by going for it.

    • This is the 129th FA Cup final, the 76th at Wembley, and the fourth under the arch.
    • These clubs were the last two winners of the FA Cup, and have lifted the silverware seven times between them; Chelsea five times, Portsmouth twice.
    • Holders Chelsea are bidding to become the sixth different club to win the FA Cup in consecutive seasons, and the first since Arsenal in 2002 and 2003. The silverware has been won in back-to-back seasons on 10 occasions.
    • Chelsea are aiming to become the seventh club to do the league and FA Cup double following Preston, Aston Villa, Tottenham, Arsenal (three times), Liverpool and Manchester United (three times). It has been achieved 10 times; most recently by Arsenal in 2002.
    • Portsmouth have become the sixth club to reach the FA Cup final and suffer relegation in the same season, and the first since Middlesbrough in 1997. No club has won the club and been relegated in the same year.
    • The winners will receive £1,800,000 from the prize fund, and the runners-up £900,000.

Chelsea (from): Cech, Hilario, Turnbull, A Cole, Kalou, Alex, Drogba, Terry, Malouda, Lampard, Deco, Anelka, Zhirkov, J Cole, Belletti, Ballack, Kakuta, Sturridge, Ferreira, Bruma, Ivanovic.

Portsmouth (from): James, Finnan, Rocha, Mokoena, Ben-Haim, Mullins, Belhadj, Hughes, Boateng, Wilson, Yebda, Utaka, Piquionne, Diop, Dindane, Ashdown, Kanu, Smith, Basinas, Sowah, Vanden Borre, O'Hara.

    Chelsea to win this nicely...

Complacency is Chelsea's greatest enemy here, tbh...

It'll be either a Chelsea walkover or a tight game, no in between.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

A mate of mine was telling me that Paddy Power have a bet at 14/1 for Chelsea to go behind and then win it.

    I can't find it anywhere. If it's there it's a decent bet I think.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,023 ✭✭✭Barr

If that bet is available its decent value.

Portsmouth are 21/1 to win haha

Either an embarrassingly one sided affair or a damned close run thing, chelsea to win though.

The Grant Factor gives Pompy the edge in this one.

    It's here.

Scroll down just before halfway. It's go behind and win, 17/2 and go behind and draw 14/1.

Ah John Terry .. The man who never fouls . .

If the ball ever hits his hand, chances are that its the balls fault, not his . . .

Chelsea getting up some steam now, a goal in the first half will make this a procession . ..
