not really a food but i liked ketchup when i was younger. i cant stand the sight of it now.
saying that, there are things i didnt like when i was young that i like now, such as mushrooms, black pudding (omm nom nom) and fatty meat. a slice of ham with a decent amount of fat on it is delicious. i guess im getting old

I just couldn't be arsed playing computer games now, I donk know how people find the time between cooking and reading the papers and being online and actually doing something with the day, there just isn't time and I'm on the doe ffs!

Also, we used to have a deep fat frier and I used to have a basket of greasy chips damn near every night. Sick

Those things are dangerous - I used to deep fry everything, not all the time, but when I felt lazy, I'd deep fry rashers, cheese, bread, eggs, chicken etc. I even deep fried a pheasant once - my dad brought it home from the pub one night & decided it would be a good idea. Turned out, he was right!

    Hmm. I feel hungry now.

Not really, biscuits and sweets ect were limited to the weekend, ( to save our teeth ) so I figured asking if I could make myself a sandwich would get me a sugar fix on the sly and it did.:D

I got found out eventually because I left the teaspoon in the bag of sugar.:(

I'm the same with computer games, used to love playing them but don't bother anymore. Got an Xbox 360 last year and played it twice in 6 months months so I gave it to my little brother. I'm sure there's plenty more thngs I used to do but don't know, just can't think of them.

I hate to break it to you, but technically fish fingers are not really classified as fish.

Used to be a major fiend when it came to Lilt soda. Hadn't had it for the better part of a decade so I decided to grab a bottle out in supervalu today for the hell of it.

    OH. MY. GOD.

What kind of muck have they replaced my beloved fruity soda with?!
It tastes like someone left a mouldy grapefruit to rot in a bottle of year-old tonic water.

Ive lived with 4 other females who've done the same....

could never understand it, Its far better when you mix it with milk then poor over crunchy nut corn flakes...

    Black pudding - bleugh!

Cauliflower - used to eat it steamed mixed with mashed potatoes, can't even stand the smell of it now.

Marmalade - esp with "bits" (don't trust those bits). I'm convinced it's
because my mother used to crush tablets when I was sick and put them in marmalade. Just the thought of it is turning my stomach.

7up - ditto with illness ruining it for me, used to have it pumped into me when I was sick as a child (and I loved it at the time) but I find it minging now. Don't mind Sprite too much though, there's def a difference in taste!

I have grown to like a lot of foods as I have gotten older, so the toss up between dispising certain things I used to eat and now eating loads of stuff I used to nto eat has been positive!

I also dont take sugar in my tea/coffee...The only Lent-en campaign I've ever kept up..

Fish fingers.... Couldnt go near them now.

I remember my mate use to put sugar on his toast when he was younger. It would make a paste with the butter. RANK! Im surprised he is not diabetic now...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,255 ✭✭✭Renn

Used to love a cup of tea when I was a kid with 5 spoons of sugar. When I finished the drink I would then spoon out any remaining bits of sugar and just eat them. Yeah, kinda had to put a stop to that.

My sister used to make me eat spoonfuls of Kerrygold and I didn't complain. Wouldn't chance it now
