It's really not that hard. You should have a bit of a sweat up after it though.

Do you do the same warm up no matter what your lifting that day?

Yes. At IP you do this warm up every session for a month no matter what the session is. It changes mid month (I think Will actually makes a mistake and says every 3 months in the video) and then there's a new batch of mobility and stability movements which form the warm up for the next 4 weeks. You can check out some of the older ones on our website www.informedperformance.com Go to iPrograms and you'll see them at the start of each one.

Excellent stuff there, quite Mike Boyleesque for a while! (which is a good thing). Barry, one question, why do you rotate the warm ups? Are you progressing/regressing them based on the client? The reason I ask is that I use a similar warm up that covers each movement pattern but it's the same for most clients bar the three or four FMS corrective exercises that will generally be unique to that individual. I use most of the warm up stuff of FSC3.0 etc.

I actually had to google what FSC3.0 was and I got an accounting term :) I assume it's some functional screen thing? I would also say that Mike Boyle is Informed Performancesque :D

To quote Will in the video we're hammering a nail with a sledghammer. We have 100+ clients and some need certain exercises more than others but they'll all do the same warm up so it's really general for a reason. If there's something specific we spot in an athlete we'll have them do something in addition to this.
