I like a man not a boy, but I'm not attracted to the men in those pictures. They're just too big and scary. :o

I don't have a particular preference but wouldn't like a guy who could crush me.

You can't look like that without dedicating yourself to looking like that. So it's a question of whether women want a man who is totally obsessed with how ripped and toned he is. Most probably wouldn't???

Try using one of your feet or your nose, if your hands are otherwise occupied.

Not too fat, not too thin! I dunno, yeah, a little bit of fat is fine! As long as he's not so big that he's gonna crush me, or so small that he makes me feel big, I'm cool! :pac:

    I really don't like over-muscled or gym-built guys. I never have, and I think there's a lot of women who don't, either.

That six-pack is rotten.. it looks too contrived. They all look fairly contrived. I much prefer "natural" muscle, like the type you'd get from running or biking or boxing but without cutting, sculpting or drinking protein shakes, and a little layer of fat over it.. really defined muscles creep me the hell out!

I think there's far more men who like that gym-built look on other men than women tbh!

I completely agree! If I say I'm not that keen on any of those pictures the OP posted, it doesn't mean I only go for chubby guys or anything, nothing wrong with a bit of 'natural' muscle but the over-defined body-obsessed look is a bit creepy. I mean, do their lives actually revolve around working out? And the veiny arms... Ugh!

I think they prefer that look on themselves ;)

Like everything really, too much or too little is not good, a compromise must be made :)

I've always liked the big guys, I'm 5 foot nothing, oh is 6 6. He used to be a bit flabby but now he's going to the gym the ladies are swooning over him, I think its hilarious because he's really shy and he goes purple when wenches come up to him when we are out, I've actually been pushed out of the way more than once.....No shame some of them. I don't mind wobbly bits though, but it has to be in proportion - small and fat just don't do it for me, nor does tall and skinny.

Its weird how in the hollywood movies all the main actors are 12 to 12 and a half stone, while any big men are bodyguards/tough men. What do the ladies think?

Why did you choose all black men?

Wrong, wrong, wrong, I don't like those beefcakes on any level.
I'd run a mile from them.

Think of the men involved too.

It gets tiring being objectified for your body, believe me.

Not my cup of tea. I like really tall guys but not meat heads. Tall and slim = yummy.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 37,214 ✭✭✭✭Dudess

Not attracted to those guys. I'd just admire a majorly sculpted physique the way I'd admire a good-looking woman.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 18,239 ✭✭✭✭WindSock

Not a fan of gym bodies. Prefer natural 'gardening' muscles :)

imo, I think gay guys seem to like the sculpted look more than women. /generalisation

So you'd prefer Peter Crouch to say.. LL cool J there?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,034 ✭✭✭✭It wasn't me!

    Usain Bolt

Always thought an athletic physique was better than the slightly contrived gym bunny look. I would however be somewhat more muscularly built, and being only 6', athletic tends to look kinda stocky on me. Shame, really.

    Bodywise, yes.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 37,214 ✭✭✭✭Dudess

Myself I prefer just a guy with an average build - small bit of flab wouldn't bother me. Working out would be a bonus - a bit of definition is nice, but no need to go the whole LL hog. Looks poser-ish.

See, his body does nothing for me, either.. it's still quite "cut," and very veiny (albeit that's from running!). I'm interested in the actual natural body shape (v-shape) moreso than the muscles on it.

I'd try and find an image example but it's surprisingly hard to find pictures of topless guys who aren't all.. muscley. As long as it's all rounded and not so angular/veiny, I'm happy.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,597 ✭✭✭anniehoo

Out of the 4 pics..LL Cool Js is the best. But..its all about the "V" for me. No six pack but toned and with a V would do me just grand ;) The Irish Mr World Kamal Ibrahim is perrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrfect yum!

I'm always bemused at finding women don't like big men. It seems strange to me to fancy a guy who could fit into the same jeans as you.

I can't think of anything I like more than a massive beefy guy. I love huge thighs and a really solid body. It doesn't have to be completely ripped, even the tubby look is kind of cute if the guy is big enough.

Most of the guys I've dated have been enormous (not fat but just huge guys). I did go out with a skinny guy once but I just couldn't get my head around putting my arms around him and there being nothing there but bone :(

I think for me a guy's masculinity is never more apparent than in his (overall) size and his hariness (sp?). I like hairy guys too. None of this metrosexual crap. But I'm a dying breed it seems :(
