I has an ex directory number which has caller ID suppressed by default.

I have been told that if you call any 1800, 1850, 1890 or 0818 numbers your caller ID is passed regardless of your default settings. I don't want these numbers seeing my caller ID.

    Is this true?

Quite possibly yes... Ex directory does not mean unseen to all...

Grand that is all I needed to know.

I shall always call the geographic numbers so. ;)
