If certain ones were asked last year, what is the likelihood that they'll be asked this year?
Also any predictions for these accounts? Having trouble studying HL History...

Predictions are very risky business. That said, today I actually sat down with all the History exam papers from 2001 - 2009 to try and predict the People in History and Q6A for HL.

So, for People in History these seem likely to come up. If you do 3/4 (even 2 very well & 2 rough ones just in case) of the green ones you should be fine for section A. If you do 3/4 of the blue topics (again, even 2 very well & 2 rough ones just in case) you should be fine for section B. If I were you though I'd definitely do Ancient Ireland and the Industrial Revolution.
    • Archeology
    • Ancient Ireland
    • The Middles Ages
    • The Reformation
    • Christian Ireland
    • The Plantations
    • The Revolutions
    • The Industrial Revolution - almost definite
    • Something to do with WW2 (usually D-day or Operation Barbarossa
    • The Cold War
    • Irish War of Independence

Like I warned though, risky tactic and the ones which appear to be due may not even come up.

You can never predict anything because they could think "ah sure they're expecting this to come up, we'll stick something on from last year's paper" and then you're screwed :D

Thanks anyway - this will really help.

I forgot to mention, if it came up last year it doesn't necessarily mean it won't come up this year - you have to look at the pattern, if it tends to come up every 2 years it may come up, if there are 4 year breaks between each appearance it probably won't. :)

My history teacher told us Medieval is very likely to come up this year.
