Advisable to wait until you know the confirmed starting line ups in this 1.

Asuming Zamora and Duff make it, here are some selections (outsiders) offering value IMO:

    Zamora anytime scorer @ 21/10 | to score a brace @ 17/1

I don't know if anyone is into their brace betting but I've been making a small fortune this year from Paddypower who have been offering almost double the price of other sportsbooks this year in that market and Zamora @ 17/1 in his current form and against a defense that can be as bad as Wolfsburgs at times is just plain and simply ridiculous and a great longshot bet to wet the appetite.

Fulham to win in 90 minutes

Still on the drift and almost hitting 3/1, this represents a good investment. Remember 3/1 implies only a 25% win expectation. If you think they'd win more often than that, it's a profitable bet.

    Aguero anytime scorer @ 15/8

Extrabet are being very generous on a guy who is a big game player. Atletico always create and he may be the man Fulham have to stop. His pace and trickery will cause problems and he knows how to finish. Good value.

Remember all these bets (taken individually) are more unlikely than likely to happen so stake wisely if you're having a flutter.

    atletico will have too much,
€50 on them along with under 2.5 in the forest v pool game.
    :)

Forlan 6/4 to score anytime for A. Madrid

he has been their top scorer this season, kun hasnt the best this season so that's why i wouldnt touch him, plus Diego does the peno's too

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,536 ✭✭✭SomethingElse

Both teams have horrible away records :D I'd fancy Aguero to nick one

  • Moderators Posts: 8,832 ✭✭✭x PyRo

Zoltan Gera anytime @ 10/3 will be my only bet. I've backed him alot in the EL and he always scored for me.

    No

they landed out there today, could have went yesterday but Hodgsen said he wanted it to be just like any other Euro game they've had this season.

isnt Zamora a major doubt for this game ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,853 ✭✭✭Kod-box

Yeah, but i reckon him and Duff will play if they are anywhere near fit.

oh duff is a certain since he trained yesterday iirc, zamora hasnt but a few injections could get him though it

People are writing off Fulham a lot I see.
    Don't be so sure lads.

I really fancy Fulham to go all the way and win it. Atletico no great shapes and Fulham shouldn't concede too many.

Won't be backing it with money but surprised to see people jumpiong on the Forlan, Madrid wagon already.

    Opinions are opinions though :)

Fulham 4-3 @ 300/1 is in the top 5 bets at PP.

    Also, Forlan 1-0 @ 20/1 in PP & Laddys :eek::eek::eek:

    33/1 in VC
    25/1 Will Hill

I never believe the top 5 bets from pp, it just there to get gullible people to bet on crap that no ones interested in

I've backed Fulham -1, Cardiff -1 and Dundee United -1 in a treble at about 93-1. I've thrown a tenner on it, while I think it's a real longshot I actually think I might get a sweat, Fulham are definitely capable of upsetting Atletico, they want it and I don't rate Atletico that highly anyway.

I've obviously got a couple of safer bets on this game but I hope Fulham can pinch it, tenner on both teams to win on penalties is a decent bet, will lay 20 on that.

My heart is saying Fulham but my head is saying Atletico. And it's not based on Atletico being a far better team or nothing. I don't overly rate them too much. But i think a once off game without 2 legs just suits them better. I know this is an away game for both of them and they both don't have impressive away form. But i think Atletico will just edge it. Fulham are good at home and sit back away. If they do that and just try snatch a goal on the counter i reckon they will be punished. An early lead with Fulham leveling it in the second half and Ateti taking the lead 2-1 close to the end. Still it's not a game i feel confident betting on the winner.

Think i might go for a double of -1 corner handicap to Atletico and forlan to score anytime. Works out about 4.50 on betfair. Might do some other form of double on PP. A forlan or aguero brace or something. Maybe Zamora if fit.

By brace you mean 2 or more goals is it?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,584 ✭✭✭digme

I doubt forlan will get a sniff of that ball :D

2 goals. Brace is just another word for a pair.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,762 ✭✭✭jive

not going to bet (maybe put a tiny bet on for interest tomorrow if i have time to watch the game) but i think fulham are good value. Atletico havent been particularly good this year (with the exception of going far in the cup comptetition - but that being said they have mostly drawn games) and fulham will be tough to break down. I think a draw followed by extra time is likely and maybe even penalties. Maybe il throw a few cheeky cent on fulham to win in penalty shoot out @ 9/1 :P correct score of 1-1 could be a good shout because of the forlan money back special in PP.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,014 ✭✭✭dotsflan

Anybody think that danny murphy is value @ 11/2 anytime goalscorer? hes fulhams penalty taker isnt he? and hes more then capable of scoring from mopen play

havin a few of the lads over tonight for the game would love to see fulham winning so gonna stick a few quid on them to win tonight to make it intresting i honestly think they can do it,if they play the way they did against juve in the early stages they will fly it,Also gonna stick a tenner on each of the teams to win on peno's 12/1 fulham 11/1 atletico on bet365 because madrid have forced a ton of draws this year ...

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,988 ✭✭✭SirDelboy18

Too many similarities between Fulham and Middlesbrough in their UEFA cup run. Coincedentally Boro played spanish opposition in the final too and lost 4-0 to Sevilla I think.

I want Fulham to do it obviously but just cant see it.

    10€ on Atletico -1 @ 10/3

I had Forskin to score first 9/2
    1-1 Half time 7/1

Just seen Forskin at 9/2 for the 3rd goal so I have that on now too

Also got 23/10 before kick off for Forskin to outscore Zamora in 90 mins

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,242 ✭✭✭In_tuition

Like Headshot, I placed a small wager on Forlan to score anytime.

So thanks to you ValueSeeker for highlighting/linking the generous odds on offer for the anytime goalscoring market in another thread this afternoon.

    Cheers.

bad luck for those who betted on zamora

    he's subbed

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,734 ✭✭✭Fowler87

suppose that was the chance to take with his injury and all... if only he had better control for the build up of that goal he may have stuck that shot in the corner himself... ah well. Fulham well back in this game.. nearly a second there now...
