    Hi Guys

Im living in Dublin for the Summer, and i was just wondering can anyone give the heads up to which gym would best suit my needs. I dont want to spend too much just what a friendly accomodating place to workout, i know its sounds quite vague but please enlighten me?

Also i live near Sandyford and i would love it if it did take too long of a stint to get, but im open to any suggestions.

Do you have a car? Ucd gym is €180 a year, pretty bad gym but it does the job. CarlIsle do €175 for 6 months or €275 for 12. Would recommend spending the extra for Carlisle.

You could try Beacon health and fitness in Sandyford, pretty small gym but the rates are good and it's well enough equipped for it's size. http://www.bhaf.ie/rates.php

Would have said this myself but thought it might be a bit far out for ya, that said I live in D7 and I think it's well worth the bus ride.

Crossfit Ireland is in Sandyford industrial estate, comes highly recommended from a lot of people here.

I go to Total Fitness Sandyford, they're doing a deal now 14 months for €450 i think, you'll see it on their site.

I'm sure they would work out something for a short term deal though.

It's only €29 a month and you're not tied into any type of contract. Also, the 2 guys who run it, Robert and Ivan, are great guys.

I took some 1-2-1 Muay Thai lessons with Ivan and would highly recommend him. He's a great personal trainer too.

Cheapest gym in Dublin has to be UCD. I got a text recently offering a membership for €155. That's less than €13 per month.

+2 for this. 20 minute ride on the luas. Good range if equipment (although more so in terms of weights than cardio machines, but cardio is what the outdoors are for) and good price, and staff are pretty sound too.

Image in Swords is 360 per year all in, and it's an excellent gym. You can also do a pay as you go option, or 3 or 6 months memberships.
