They're actually labelled as 2 for €1 as well!:eek: so ten for 1 euro. I had to reign myself in and just not buy them because they're not one of my faves but i'd still eat them all and i really can't afford the calories - was a shame though. What a bargain!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,500 ✭✭✭✭cson

Yeah they're 2 for €1 alright too. If I had a shop I'd be in there stocking up; surely you can't get cheaper than 10c per bar even at wholesale prices!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,099 ✭✭✭johndaman66

Are they the full sized bars? Two 5 packs of them for a quid? Not a big fan of Tesco but think I'll go in tomorrow and stock up on em. Should help ensure I get through my chocolate fixes for some time to come;)

Full size bars. Says it on the price label that Galaxy/Malteasers/Something else were the same price, but there wasn't any there.

You got it mate! Well no not really, its a market economy and all that but what I do take issue with is Tesco blowing their trumpets about how they are in the process of steadily dropping prices while they are bumping up their prices bit by bit on the sneak. Thats the reason I generally tend to avois them if possible!

That was the day before :pac:

They also had the sign saying mars/snicks/twix 2 for €1 but when my mam bought those, they didn't come off at the end of her receipt so she got all of her money back and ended up getting 30 bars of chocolate for free

No better publicity than free publicity... worth pricing down a few bounty bars for:D

I am keeping clear as I would just do the dog on them.

I wish I hadn't bought them now:( Thought I didn't particularly like them but I do:(:( *Must stay away from Tesco*

74c in Tescos, Jervis. Still a bargain. Though the price isn't advertised at all, so you don't know til you get to the checkout.

It's really very kind of Tescos to offer us this bargain. Thanks for the tip off. Now that's what I call a real "bargain alert"!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,734 ✭✭✭zarquon

Just eat 2 bounties and 8 more to go :( Why couldn't this have been 10 bananas or apples for €1

This is *exactly* what I was afraid of so I've successfully resisted (with difficulty:( ) thus far. Hopefully they'll sell out soon and remove temptation!

Sign said 74 cent or 2 for €1. Checked out and was charged 1.48. Imagine if I had the nerve to tell customer services I was over charged 48 cent and get them free? Na, 14.8 cent bounty is fine by me!:D

Also have "reduced fat" Maryland cookies for 34c if you are watching your waistline!. Want to go back now for the giant love hearts though...

Can this be renamed 'The Tesco Super Sweetie Extravaganza: Featuring 10c Bountys and 12c Love Hearts!' :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 828 ✭✭✭Travel is good

Oh this is so good! Everyone here is eating the Bountys. Fair play to Tescos for all this stuff!

Did you notice lately that a lot of special offers are for the junk/sugary cereals etc.?

    Eat Bounty, I say!

    Its bizarre tbh......
I took them up on their no quibble guarantee and got a whole case of Trebor Softmints from them- perfect for when you're driving (and not liable to rip your fillings out).
Remember the 79c Toblerones after Christmas, and the 2-for-1 on Natural confectionary products........

Its a wonder any of us have any teeth left.......
