    ladies and gentlemen,

thinking of buying a beginner CNC machine, looking at getting a router like this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/KIT-Desktop-CNC-Machine-Engraving-Milling-Router-/220509007514?cmd=ViewItem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item33575c6e9a

or could go down the SH route if I knew where there was a good machine going

so what is to look out for in terms of precision, motor power etc.

will be cutting slots in rosewood about 1/2" deep (multiruns will be used to get to 1/2" deep )
might put the odd bit of aluminium through it as well

    so any recommendations fire away

will be running it from a laptop so preferably USB controlled

anyone know any dealers etc in Ireland?

Have a look at this, simpler but alot cheaper, and the idea is, that you could use it to make a bigger stronger one, and learn everything along the way.
