Cortisone injection?

    Hey

    Hey just wondering has any one ever got an injecton into there knee?
    What where there experiences?

    Mod now: i'm not looking for medical advice

    yes. Pain in the hole. Staved off some pain and discomfort and allowed me to do something very important but since I had an underlying problem, the problem just recurred some weeks later.

    I had a similar experience with one into my shoulder. Allowed me to do what I wanted to do but the problem came back soon after. With hindsight I don't know if i would get the injection if it happened all over again.

    Although, fcuk it, no regrets, i probably would!!

    Jes, I asked a question a few weeks ago and the thread got closed as I was apparently looking for medical advice.............goggle cortisone you should see enough to put you off!

    Had three into my elbow, short term pain free but still have problems, ps cortisone apparently increases muscle breakdown in later life as it never leaves your system or so Ive been told.

    But I hope your not seeking medical advice, or this thread will have to be closed:D

    My understanding is that the injection reduces inflamation which allows body to heal itself and or allow appropriate physio to fix problem permanently...it is not a pain killer
