Training partner in Cork (PL or Strongman)

I have just moved back to Cork and need to find a training partner or crew to train with.

My main focus is on powerlifting and strongman at the moment, but I would love to learn some Olympic lifts if there is coaching available.

Current PL stats are Deadlift: 205, Bench: 100kg, Squat: 130kg @94kg bodyweight. I am an ideal training partner, like loud RATM, a good spotter and shout words of encouragement at appropriate times.

Can anyone recommend any gyms to train at, clubs to join or people I can train with?

If you are on facebook, there is a group call Powerlifting In Ireland with almost 300 members. If you leave a message on that, you may get some replies. Alternatively visit the websites of the powerlifting associations in the country and either leave a message on their msg boards (if they have one) or email the contacts listed for details on lifters in your area

Midleton has a really good gym.

If your closer to the city then the maradyke might be a better bet.

I've just moved to bannow in wexford & really interested in getting into strongman training here - anyone know any gym that specializes in that line that'd be close to me? More importantly... would it be affordable?
