Best of luck Denners, I'll follow with interest. Hopefully you don't get the curse of having a boards thread!

Lost 20 points on a horse yesterday

    Bank: 258.02 points

    Gone for a multiple of:

    Wolfsburg,
    Bordeaux,
    Real Madrid

    28.02 pts @ 2.31

    Current Bank: 230 pts

I had a mixed bag of racing with the horses and eventually was down around 22ish points.

I had 208 odd points in my account and placed 28 odd pts on a multiple of :

    Velez to win,
    Lech to win,
    Madrid to win,
    Barcelona to win.

I can't get the multiple odds off my BF statement for some reason (:() but my current bank is 313.12 points!

UFC tonight now to hopefully wrap up two consecutive good weekends :)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 314 ✭✭Denners

Always had a great record for UFC bar a recent slip up at UFC 112 with a 1/5 fav letting me down

Anyway have a few on tonight although its not a card to lump on:

    Marcus Davis win, 50 pts @ 1.21

Marcus Davis, Tom Lawlor, Patrick Cote; 15 pts returns 40 pts (Boylesports)
Tom Lawlor, Kimbo Slice, Johny Hendricks, Marcus Davis; 10 pts returns 29 pts (Boylesports)

    5 pts on Paul Daley @ 3.45

    Kimbo Slice to win, 13.12 pts @ 1.91 ( a further 25 pts @ 1.95)

I jinxed myself for sure, worst UFC return ever out of around 20 events. Tottenham left me down badly today in a multiple that would have sent me over 500 pts, so a terrible overturn at the end of the weekend.

    Current Bank: 95 pts
    Current Exposure/Stake: 55 pts

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 314 ✭✭Denners

    Bank: 95 pts

Lost 30 pts on a pathetic excuse for a horse, he lost by 20 lengths in a 5f race  ( I'd run 5f ffs)

    Had Peter Island, 15 pts @ 4.66

Had Right Rave, 2.5 pts @ 9.03 (dissappointed I didn't put more on but didn't want to take a hit after a bad finish to the weekend)

Was very close to taking Valiante Knight and Powerstation aswell, don't even want to know what the odds on a multiple of the 4 would have been :o

At least a bit of form was hit so I'm content with that.

    Current Bank: 133.56 pts

Few small bets to keep me occupied for the day:

Lord of the Reins, 5 pts win @ SP
Alice Cullen, 2 pts win @ SP
Battle of Britain, 3.56 pts win @ SP
Took Surely This Time to place, 5 pts @ 2.06
Took Sharp Sovereign at the last minute, 25 pts @ 4.9 (Credit to Pyro ;))
Be my Light, 4 pts place, 3.65 pts win
5 pts on the fav in the 5.20 in Yarmouth

    Current Bank: 190 pts
    Exposure: 7.65 pts

Not much activity over the last few days but have my biggest bet ever on tomorrow.

I need a Chelsea win, Andy Lee win and Amir Khan win.

Odds weren't great but I have a very big sum on this and hopefully it will come through for me!

I won't post the amount as I will be withdrawing it straight away (if it wins) and don't want to jinx it but the winnings will be more than was ever in my account before at any time by a long way.

    Paco Boy NAP

    3:05 Newbury

Odds are short (8/11) but I genuinely can't see this horse been beaten, if he gets 3/4 the run he did last time by Richie Hughes he will walk it, has a frightening turn of pace and 1m suits perfectly.

I never NAP a horse but this fella is a class act

I posted this on the 'fancies for today' thread earlier. If you watch flat racing you will know this is a very special horse so nothing new but I did get a nice return off this fella.

Had a good day with Drogba to score at 1.72 aswell so I won around 70 pts today.:)

Not sure of my correct balance as have some small bets in running and my big accum is still good to go, but I will work it out later.

The flat seems very open today and didn't really fancy it tbh so I've decided to stick to Newton-Abbot mainly.

    Supreme Plan, 14:20 Newton-Abbot
    - 2.50 pts e/w @ 15 on Betfair

    Tabaran, 15:20 Newton-Abbot
    - 5 pts e/w @ Betfair SP

    Foreign King, 15:50 Newton-Abbot
    - 20 pts win @ Betfair SP

    My Mate Mal, 14:10 Wolverhampton
    - 2.35 pts to place @ 2.48

    Current Bank: 50 pts
    Current Stake/Exposure: 37.35 pts

Had an alright day, made a small profit but was expecting a better day. Only one big let down really so not too bad.

    Supreme Plan, 14:20 Newton-Abbot:

Jason Maguire probably got the best out of this horse and I wasn't expecting much considering the field so a good 4th place.(5 points)

    *Tabaran, 15:20 Newton-Abbot:

One to watch, once he got a reminder he quickened very well and finished very strongly.(5 points e/w @ 6.40)

    Foreign King, 15:50 Newton Abbot:

The added weight and the fact he didn't get much of a rest probably led to the fact he seemed very flat. (20 points)

    My Mate Mal, 14:10 Wolverhampton:

Stayed on valiantly to get third, big effort.(2.35 pts to place @ 2.48)

Had a few small bets aswell during the day:

Nellie Ellis to win (5.66 pts)

    Kheley to place (7.91 pts)

    *Mhilu to win (10 pts @ 2.28)

    Tevez to place (5 pts)

    Charlton v Swindon, Over 2.5 goals (12.17 pts @ 2.02)

    Current Bank: 103.97 (+3.97 pts)

    Cheers Pyro,
I was around €150 from covering my loss on Cygnet :D. Never again as much as I had on it though, odds were around 2/5 and it would have left me in a bad state had it not come through. Don't know how you did it that time you had that lump on Cygnet, nervy times to say the least. Paco Boy at Ascot will prob be another one to get a big lump but we will see how the account is going, could be all over by then :o. I might touch base with you before then actually to get your take on the racecard if it isn't any trouble, I want to know everything about the other horses etc incase I do decide to go big on him

  • Moderators Posts: 8,754 ✭✭✭x PyRo

Never mention that horse again! :D I have slowed down since that, Gambling less money and tipping along slowly to get my money back too!

Yeah no problem, Paco Boy looks a class act though, It'll take something special to take him anytime soon. I'll have a chat with ya in PM closer to the race date. It's tough to call those races though, For me anyways. There is always a few unknown quantities in the race that suddenly improve or have been racing in France that we've no seen, Like Mafki.

Canford Cliffs is going in the Irish Guineas too, Can't wait to watch him run. He'll be a top class sprinter and 1m horse over the next while imo. Bags of speed and stays the mile too. Should have a serious chance. 3/1 at the moment, Would love it if he went on the drift to 4's so I can go e/w and get all my money back if he only places. Can't see him out of the places to be honest.

    - Millwall 1st Goal (20 pts @ 1.66)

    - Milwall Win (25 pts @ 1.80)

    Horse Racing:
    Jump

    High Jack, 18:20 Towcester:
    - 10 pts win @ Betfair SP

This fella is a C&D winner and is very well weighted for this one.

    Woodlark Island, 19:50 Towcester:
    - 7.5 pts @ BSP

Is well rested and should run well even though has never won over 2m. If its a nice quick pace he should get up to take it.

    Pinerock, 20:20 Towcester:
    - 7.5 pts @ BSP

A.P on board which is a big plus. The favourite put in a big effort around a week and a half ago and is very inconsistent. First time on the chase but if he takes to them well should take all the beating imo.

    Flat

    Sharp Sovereign, 17:00 Yarmouth:
    - 15 pts win @ BSP

Won well for me last time off a good tip from xPyro. Shot to the front and led them home, deserves another shot after that win.

    Well done Denners.

I knew he was a good horse and Hannon thought highly of him but didn't know he was as good as that!

He was quality today, once Richie Hughes got him a line 1 and a half furlongs out he took off. Wasn't the best sign to see him heating up and being a bit disobedient into the stalls but he cantered it.

Good shout with him anyway, tidy enough sum made off him ;)

He was quality today, once Richie Hughes got him a line 1 and a half furlongs out he took off. Wasn't the best sign to see him heating up and being a bit disobedient into the stalls but he cantered it.

Good shout with him anyway, tidy enough sum made off him ;)

I always knew he'd be class, He has an unreal turn of foot, He'll clean up any race from 6f to 1m. Going to be fun watching him over the next while.

It was a class ride from Hughes too, I thought he was stuck behind traffic at one stage, Then just jinked him to the left and BOOM! Away he went, Pure class animal and a class ride.

We both called it well thank God. There's more to be made from him too. ;)

Not much with any real interest for me tomorrow, too many close races over timber so only novelty bets really.

Clear favourite and has ran well since put back over hurdles. No reasons why this fella shouldn't be getting home first, has the measure of the field.

Ashmolian had a tough race the other day and can't see him putting in such a big effort again, this horse is fresh enough and should be right in there.
