I was just playing the under pass and came accross a centry gun and off cours I attacked it with my knife and on I went, In the game i was getting my ass kicked.

So i wasnt really concintrateing when the thaught of an enginering perk came to mind...

You could rob peoples centry guns from other teams and then use it on them :D all very sneaky...

just annoying that you cant like turn some ones centry gun.. :(

It'd be a good idea alright, but you'd want it to do more than just reactivate or rob sentry guns, or you'd barely ever need it.

It'd work well as an add on when you've completed the challenges on a normal perk.

maybe could also be used for whippiong peoples claymorse if you came at em from the back. enemy runs in the door thinks he's grand and boooom!!! killed by his own explosive

I havent really bothered using sitrep much. What do you get once the sitrep challenge is done?

I propose Stab Vest. Like Blast Shield but it prevents you getting Commando lunged.

That is actually a good idea. There is nothing to counter act commando.

Couple of things. Stick it on as your Perk 3 on all your classes. I tried putting it on one of mine, but kept going back to other Ninja Classes, so never really used it enough. I've never gotten Pro, but the benefits of it with my headphones should be great in theory... I intend to get it this prestige. (only level 5 so not started yet...)

Also, try it in games of FFA and maybe Domination? Certainly in FFA, you can combine Booster Hunting with destroying Tactical Insertions which helps SitRep. In domination, guys tend to leave Claymores/C4 around flags quite often.

I've never actually done it, but I think it you focus on that challenge for a couple of nights play, you'd get it done. But if you have it there to use on the odd occasion that you come across enemy equipment it'll take forever. Even in TDM there are quite a few Claymores used, but the hassle of moving to that part of the map gets you killed quite often. If you don't worry about your k:d for a while, I'd say you'd crack it.

ColdBlooded Pro is another one that is tricky to finish. But again, if you have it as your Perk2 in all classes, you will get there much quicker. Plus if you run with an assault rifle that is good at all ranges (TAR is a great one in this case), with the Shotgun Masterkey attachment for up close combat, you can have a stinger on your back full time when doing this challenge. The TAR is high damange so isn't too handicapped without Stopping Power, plus the shotgun attachment doesn't really need it either.
Lastly, if you have Cold Blooded in place, and there is an enemy helicopter that has been shot in such a way that it is spiralling out of the map and isn't shooting anyone anymore, but wasn't blown up directly, every bullet you hit it with from your AR counts towards the ColdBloodedPro challenge. Normally this is the Chopper or PaveLow I think.

Perhaps in the engineer class you could have the second weapon slot taken up with a tripod.... for what? Well say you plant a tripod down and if there is a mounted gun anywhere you can detach this and run it back to the tripod to create your own auto turret.

    Wasn't that patched out recently...?

Thats a great idea, they have a piece of equipment that lets you withstand a grenade blast to the face but not a knife attack?

Oh. Maybe. Hadn't heard that for definite, but is quite possible with the Map Pack that it was...

The sitrep challenge is a bitch, currently on 74/120. I'm actually hunting the mines these days rather than the enemy :D

You know the way you need 120 for Sitrep Pro.

What is involved with actually completing the Perk challenges fully for this?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,692 ✭✭✭shawpower

    Never mind. Found it myself.

    # Requirements Reward
    I. Destroy 15 enemy devices while using SitRep. +500 XP Title: X-Ray Vision
II. Destroy 30 enemy devices while using SitRep. +1,000 XP
III. Destroy 60 enemy devices while using SitRep. +2,500 XP
IV. Destroy 120 enemy devices while using SitRep. +5,000 XP Perk: SitRep Pro
    V. Destroy 300 enemy devices while using SitRep. +10,000 XP
VI. Destroy 750 enemy devices while using SitRep. +10,000 XP Emblem: SitRep Emblem

Actually, just looking through the Perk Challenges, I think as well as doing the 150 kills per weapon, I'll be focusing on these as well this prestige I've just started.

Some of them are quite easy. Eg. 100 kills with commando gets you 39,000 XP! I don't think I used that perk at all this past prestige, so there's a nice boost over last time.

Come to think of it, I'll be using Bling and OMA a lot more this time too. Bling gives you the benefit of the perk challenge, plus with Red Dot and Sillencer attached (for example), you get to complete two Weapon challenges at the same time, which nets you quicker XP. OMA is also easy. Just have one custom class with it, pick it at the start of each game and then swap to your preferred class straight away. Each kill still counts as an OMA kill. Just do this after each death. If you swap to a Custom Class with Bling perk in use, you can do both challenges at the same time for a nice quick 78,000XP!! Sweet.

The really tough ones are Lightweight and SitRep. 250 miles sprinted! And 750 devices found?! Ouch!!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,009 ✭✭✭Shammy

Marathon /lightweight/sitrep , akimbo shotguns , while the lightweight requires a bit of time , getting sitrep pro and be done in a night.

Marathon is tough enough too. 104 miles for your 39,000XP. Not easy in one sitting.

theres shotguns ? think you can jump faster than a shotgun blast ?

i suppose if u dont have your shotgun out it could be a problem but you get what i mean. if its a constant problem in a game be prepared with an aa12 and blow any sprinting commandoes away

I know that a shotgun will do it but sometimes(maybe because of lag) they get hit but still knife you even with my beloved spas

What benefit does the FMJ add? Surely you're better with the grip for better accuracy?

FMJ with the Spas-12 does S.F.A. The grip is the best attachment for shotguns IMO

I know. That's why I asked the question. FMJ does give your bullets extra penetration through windows/bodies etc, but I couldn't see how that would have any effect on Commando.

its increases bullet damage while reducing damage removal by objects like walls glass and concrete

I thought it did? Was in a game the other day and when an EMP was called in against us, our chopper in the air crashed - could have been a coincidence seeing as EMPs are so rare but meh.

Going by Call of Duty Wiki (how do I put it so when you click on text it leads to the website) EMP takes down all air support of the enemy team currently in the air, besides planes currently delivering care packages, but this extends to all air support (for ally and enemy) in Hardcore TDM (again, it doesn't affect air drop planes).

Replace the {} brackets with the regular [] ones and you end up with this.

ehmmm a shotgun, or claymore in a good spot should catch anyone without scrambler pro.

and most of the time they miss if you run and knife too. it used to be terrible hen you were able to run exetremly fast with the care package flare. i joined in (as you do when your repeatdly get owned by the same guy) and soon mastered runing in zig zags to avoid full mags, and then you would stab, but no ordinary stab, this was a 6 foot across a room stab.

never noticed the whole, jumping 6 ft from standing still after that.

I love this idea!! Could be a site-rep PRO advantage or something... being able to MANUALLY control an enemies sentry gun

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,992 ✭✭✭Korvanica

Manually? No id say just switch it to your team. Using a stationary gun in COD is a death sentence

Having to manually control it though would leave it less open to exploitation. And in order to take it over, you'd have to "CAPTURE" it, like stealing an enemy care package, or defusing an enemy bomb - it would take a few seconds to re-wire, as it were :)

Yea thats grand, let it take a bit longer than stealing the opponents care package or something, buy dont make it so the capturer has to manually fire it, as in, make it stay an auto turret after its been capped
