K/D ratio?

just wondering what peoples k/d ratio is like, as i am one out of three over 1.00 out of sixteen friends. just wonder where people are on it? and i am not a sniper(but a sniper hunter:D )

Think theres a thread on here already out it a few pages back, mins .87 at the mo, nicely working towards 1.00, am averaging 15-20 kills and maybe 6-7 deaths on a typical game, depends on the match type and map though, Wasteland and Terminal I do ok on, I dont know anyone who doesnt get killed at least 10 times on Rust though, but thats half the fun

I am at 1.25 now but it took some doing as i got hammered in a lot of games early on learning the maps and how the game flowed. watch those corners and your survival odds get better:D
I was .71 about level 35-40 and switched to my stealth class. and no more running about...

I don't really care that much about mine but it's been fluctuating between 1.73 and 1.74 for the past few weeks. I just can't seem to break out of 1.74!

Fair enough but your guess( hope you dont want more!) is wrong. Camping is not my thing, but to control a area of the map with temmates and teamwork, that would be nice... and rare.

To me, the k/d ratio is important because if it is not improving, your not. And in TDM the TEAM k/d ratio is the score, so...

Especially when playing domination. Nothing worse than some spastic camping in a random spot with a sniper picking off people and not interested in defending or running for targets. I like to have a big positive K/D as much as I can on FFA, mix it up - camp a bit if I have to if I'm near one of my killstreak rewards.

It's around the 1.16 mark. Highest was 1.28 and it was gradually rising but I stopped caring about it then and just messed about in game and played more objective games so it fell quite a bit.

It all depends what kind of mood i'm in. Some nights i will try and get the best streaks i can then other nights i just run about with a sniper rifle trying to use it like a assault rifle but failing!

I've been in games where one person has carried a team to victory with everyone else on the team ending in negative ratios..

Too many people get caught up with k/d ratios and forget that it's only a game.

And for the record my k/d is 1.30

was 1.4ish recently . in 2 weeks i brought it up to 1.62 and still rising . used to average 10-15 kills with half the deaths now its 20-25 with still only 7 maybe 8 kills at the most . got myself a scar and im owning with it flew through the games with it have it with extended mags . between that and my new choice of spas 12(rediculous range by the way ?) im bombing through the levels

Your k/d is important in TDM. I always look at it that if I have 11 kills 10 deaths then i'm at least contributing by 100 points.

You can also contribute indirectly in TDM even if you finish 6 kills 10 deaths if you take out air support asap. Say in a usual game of TDM the other team gets 3 harriers a pavelow and a chopper gunner. This could contribute to around 30 kills but if it is taking out soon enough (harriers taken out straight away but getting 3 kills with the initial bombs, pavelow getting 2 and chopper gunner taking 4) then you are actually contributing indirectly by 21 kills.

So your score indirectly would be 27-10 if you get what i mean!

I care about my KDR, it doesn't make me not go for objectives or anything because of it. Even in game types other than TDM with the silly amount of kills i get, it's rare the team i'm on loses, without seeming like a boasting pr!ck.

So you can care about your KDR and still not be a ponce.

Mines 2.37 for what it's worth.

KD of 1.24 and slowly going up. Play a lot of objective based games where the kd doesn't count for much but I like to try to keep it reasonably ok.

Mines pretty **** atm tbh, 1.6. I never really look at stats, but i think i have like... billizions of those, most knife/throwing knife reward things lol. When im bored i just go rambo and run around knifing people. When i can be arsed, i whip out the AK/Stopping pro combo, i rarely have a :1 game.

I think it depends on the gametype to be honest, i would say its easier to get a good k/d playing domination and hq because you get less ****ty campers.

I disagree , its much easier in ffa or team death match.
When playing domination or hq i play the game the way its meant to be played and go for the objectives.

Ahh yeah diffo man, likewise. what i meant to say was for people that care so much about there k/d they will rarely play domination/hq the way its suppose to be played, and will just camp kills instead of going in there and getting the flag/hq.

well i suppose if your playing it right then yeah its going to be pretty rough on your kd but i dont bother with them anymore because no one plays it right and i just end up coming out with a horrible score

Its my favourite game mode , its not uncommon to get 40/50 kills and still get the most points accolade, which is always my personal goal in every game of dom.

I used to have a pretty decent one but my roomie got into playing it and he's pretty bad at it. I was watching him play a game of Domination and he went 2-24. That's two kills and 24 deaths. Broke my heart, haha. But it's only a game

What kind of game time have you in the game? I couldn't raise a k:d that quickly with the amount of total kills/deaths I have. I get a 30:2 game and it doesn't budge the ratio. I need to run a few together to get it to go up by .1

On a good game of Sabotage, 20 mins, i can rack up a 70:35 average, couple of those in a row brings me up .1

Since the new maps though ive lost a lot, havent had time to get into them yet, getting arse kicked regularly.

I was never worried about my ratios until i got to 1.99 , then everything revolved about getting up to 2. i did eventually get it to 2 and since than its dropped steadily but i'm back to not giving a sh!t about it

Never really played much Sabotage. Possibly played twice, and one of those was a private game. Seems like a game where people basically ignore the objective and play it like a TDM game.

A 30-2 game would budge mine by maybe 0.01, if I play Free4all for a few hours I can push maybe 0.08 in that time if I tried hard.

Here's how you know how sad/addicted I am to this game. If I get a 30:2 game, I'll pop out my phone and divide my kills by my deaths to see how it's affected my k:d. I'm working of the second decimal place to see and that gamescore might affect it by .01!

Best way of going about it is aiming to improve by 0.10 each time.

When I was playing average at the beginning I was stuck around the mid 1.90's. I was a bit obsessed admittedly with my K/D at the time cause my mates who were pants at COD4 where great at MW2 with higher K/D's.

Once I lowered expectations and I got up to 2.23 fairly quickly. Not really fussed about it anymore, was all a bit stupid looking back . But if your looking to raise it, target smaller figures.

When you get a good game of Sabotage with fairly balanced teams going back and forth.. then going to sudden death and winning. There is nothing better IMO.

Rarity to find such a game sadly.

I've seen a few youtube clips where guys get a strong party together and go and win a Sabotage game as quickly as possible. The guys on the other team are so used to ignoring the objectives and just using it as a vehicle for playing TDM and boosting k:d, they go mad when they lose. Hilarious.

That is exactly how I got my longest win streak(73 wins). Me and my mate were paired up with 4 Yanks who we were arguing(was all petty) with beforehand funnily enough). Every game we were paired up together from there on in and we went on the tear.

Plant after plant after plant within a couple of minutes for the majority of it. It was ridiculously good fun. Me and my mate would take out as many as we could with our snipers and the 4 of them just rushed and planted :pac:

My W/L ratio sky rocketed to 2.3 or around that.

Haha I think we've all thought about doing that at one time or another.

It's the dedicated one's like us that actually do!
