K/D ratio?

just wondering what peoples k/d ratio is like, as i am one out of three over 1.00 out of sixteen friends. just wonder where people are on it? and i am not a sniper(but a sniper hunter:D )

Think theres a thread on here already out it a few pages back, mins .87 at the mo, nicely working towards 1.00, am averaging 15-20 kills and maybe 6-7 deaths on a typical game, depends on the match type and map though, Wasteland and Terminal I do ok on, I dont know anyone who doesnt get killed at least 10 times on Rust though, but thats half the fun

I am at 1.25 now but it took some doing as i got hammered in a lot of games early on learning the maps and how the game flowed. watch those corners and your survival odds get better:D
I was .71 about level 35-40 and switched to my stealth class. and no more running about...

off to play for a bit...

if only people didnt give a **** about theyre k/d , the mw2 world would be such a better place :pac:

I don't really care that much about mine but it's been fluctuating between 1.73 and 1.74 for the past few weeks. I just can't seem to break out of 1.74!

Fair enough but your guess( hope you dont want more!) is wrong. Camping is not my thing, but to control a area of the map with temmates and teamwork, that would be nice... and rare.

To me, the k/d ratio is important because if it is not improving, your not. And in TDM the TEAM k/d ratio is the score, so...

Especially when playing domination. Nothing worse than some spastic camping in a random spot with a sniper picking off people and not interested in defending or running for targets. I like to have a big positive K/D as much as I can on FFA, mix it up - camp a bit if I have to if I'm near one of my killstreak rewards.

It's around the 1.16 mark. Highest was 1.28 and it was gradually rising but I stopped caring about it then and just messed about in game and played more objective games so it fell quite a bit.

It all depends what kind of mood i'm in. Some nights i will try and get the best streaks i can then other nights i just run about with a sniper rifle trying to use it like a assault rifle but failing!

I've been in games where one person has carried a team to victory with everyone else on the team ending in negative ratios..

Too many people get caught up with k/d ratios and forget that it's only a game.

And for the record my k/d is 1.30

was 1.4ish recently . in 2 weeks i brought it up to 1.62 and still rising . used to average 10-15 kills with half the deaths now its 20-25 with still only 7 maybe 8 kills at the most . got myself a scar and im owning with it flew through the games with it have it with extended mags . between that and my new choice of spas 12(rediculous range by the way ?) im bombing through the levels

Your k/d is important in TDM. I always look at it that if I have 11 kills 10 deaths then i'm at least contributing by 100 points.

You can also contribute indirectly in TDM even if you finish 6 kills 10 deaths if you take out air support asap. Say in a usual game of TDM the other team gets 3 harriers a pavelow and a chopper gunner. This could contribute to around 30 kills but if it is taking out soon enough (harriers taken out straight away but getting 3 kills with the initial bombs, pavelow getting 2 and chopper gunner taking 4) then you are actually contributing indirectly by 21 kills.

So your score indirectly would be 27-10 if you get what i mean!

I care about my KDR, it doesn't make me not go for objectives or anything because of it. Even in game types other than TDM with the silly amount of kills i get, it's rare the team i'm on loses, without seeming like a boasting pr!ck.

So you can care about your KDR and still not be a ponce.

Mines 2.37 for what it's worth.

KD of 1.24 and slowly going up. Play a lot of objective based games where the kd doesn't count for much but I like to try to keep it reasonably ok.

28 kills to 4 30 kills to 17 25 kills to 10 it really ranges but i have my off days where i get shot 28 deaths to 9 kills i can play good bad or brutal

Mines pretty **** atm tbh, 1.6. I never really look at stats, but i think i have like... billizions of those, most knife/throwing knife reward things lol. When im bored i just go rambo and run around knifing people. When i can be arsed, i whip out the AK/Stopping pro combo, i rarely have a :1 game.

I think it depends on the gametype to be honest, i would say its easier to get a good k/d playing domination and hq because you get less ****ty campers.

I disagree , its much easier in ffa or team death match.
When playing domination or hq i play the game the way its meant to be played and go for the objectives.

Ahh yeah diffo man, likewise. what i meant to say was for people that care so much about there k/d they will rarely play domination/hq the way its suppose to be played, and will just camp kills instead of going in there and getting the flag/hq.
