    Hows the going.
Can someone explain why people get jelly legs (heavy legs) before a game. Played a game yesterday and my legs were really heavy and jelly like. Is it down to nerves or is there some other scientific reason for this. Also is there any way to prevent this. I didnt train the week leading up to yesterday as i was nursing an injury so i couldnt have been tired. Its really annoying because you cant get the most out of your efforts when your legs dont respond.
    Cheers

Not sure if I'm qualified to respond as I never really played any field games. I do get the ol' jelly legs in the lead up to a fight though. Even warming up before heading to the ring I have found the adrenaline makes you feel like a dog BUT I have never found it to actually impact my performance once the bell goes.

Are you sure you're not just unfit?

Ya i usually get it before most games but it goes once the game starts. Yesterday though i had it all through the game. I had a dose of the runs yesterday morn before the game so maybe that had something to do with it.
