Exactly. To give out about the status quo and then hate capitalism is wrong. That's ridiculous. Capitalism is private profits and private losses... not private profits and socialised loses. Socialism would bail out the banks, oh wait... that's already been done. Capitalism would have let them collapse and they'll never trade recklessly again as they'll know the consequences!

Pretty sure Keynes was one of the main financial advisers to the British govt during WW2 and many consider his policies to be hugely significant in Britain surviving the war.

Riveting as this discussion on the intricacies of Capitalism is, it's unfortunate that it is taking place on a forum thread devoted to funny pictures.

It would seem that the "You discuss the perceived virtues of capitalism, you lose" thread has yet to be approved here in Cool vids and links, so if y'all could refrain from negating the funny with all y'alls book learnin, that would be appreciated. The various Socio-Economic & politics forums love a bit of that stuff however. You can knock yourselves out with it over there.

If we could get back on track here with the demotivational pictures, that would be just spiffing.
