I fancy Hamburg to be in firm command here. Think they'll win by two goals.

I don't know about that, hasn't Labbadia come under a lot of criticism of late for his man management? I know Rafa Honigstein of the guardian was fairly scathing of him recently.

I didn't hear that though I wouldn't surprise me. They've lost 3 and drawn 1 of their last 5 and are doing badly. I fancy this to be a step too far for Fulham though. Hope the fairytale continues for them but just can't see it.

Had a run in with keeper Frank Rost before the Mainz game Saturday. Apparently Rost took the players to the cinema on Friday night and Labbadia wasn't invited ;).

Is there a banner behind the Fulham goal that says sexmachines?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,472 ✭✭✭✭Oat23

Poor first half. Don't think we had a shot on target but had lots of the ball.

Ha well spotted. What's that about?

Fulham been very disappointing on the ball so far. Have they bottled it? They could easily get a 0-0 if it goes on like this but it's not like Roy to let the team completely give up on possession :(

Did Brian Kerr just say he thinks Zamora is "running with a bit of a gimp"?

No score yet. Fulham have had a bit more joy on the ball in the second half but HSV have been having a good spell just now. Gettin some good shots and crosses in.

Zamora had to go off because his leg was a gimp.

Hamburg really took control of it in the last 10 minutes or so. Still, not making the chances they should considering how much ball they have had. Fulham beginning to look a bit tired though.

Tbh, I didn't. Hamburg have been too quick to have the long shot, lack of imagination in the side imo.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,472 ✭✭✭✭Oat23

Poor result. I hope Petric starts next Thursday.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,983 ✭✭✭leninbenjamin

0-0, Kerr was right on the money.

Hamburg played decent but struggled to break down a well organised Fulham. They posed a threat but they only really tested Schwazer through their long shots. Fulham were their usual hard working selves, had some great counter attacks but they fluffed everything in the box.

Nah not really. Fair few half chances but no real excitement.

Great result for fulham conceeding away from home has been there biggest problem this year in the Europa league.

Disappointing game, but I still think it's 50:50 overall. Fulham are not really a free scoring side, and I am not sure if they like having to make the game next week, always having the fear of conceeding in the back of their mind.

Hamburg is usually very good away and on counterattacks (scored 2 in Eindhoven, 3 in Anderlecht and 3 in Liege). Petric will for sure start next week together with Elia on the left, which will give them much more creativity then they had today.

Could be a fascinating game next week.

Yup Fulham bottled it tonight. I've been such a fan of Roy in Europe this season precisely because his team usually are willing to play good, balanced football away from home. Not tonight though. They've missed an opportunity imho, they should have tested HSV.
