Had some home made pizza for lunch today and it tasted really bitter.
Then had pasta for dinner and that was bitter too.
So had a look online to see what this may be, knowing that it can be a symtom of jaundice and diabetes amongst other things and came upon this:

I had a salad with loads of pine nuts yesterday, love them, roasted, hmmm, but if they're going to do this to me :(

    Anyone else experience similar?
Wife had the same as me, but no effect with her at all.

Yes, I had the same issues a few month back. I had the bitter taste for over a week after eating pine nuts. It was awful!

*bump* this would appear to be an ongoing (and relatively recent, according to wikipedia) thing.

I think I'm afflicted by this at the moment; added a load of pine nuts to a yoghurt on Saturday, by Sunday evening everything I ate tasted noticeably bitter/metallic.

Thought it might have been something serious, didn't even consider the pine nuts (first time I've had them in a year or so), did a bit of Googling and came up with a few interesting articles.

Currently on day two of this and from what I'm reading, can expect it to last anything up to a month :( If anyone else comes across this, Supervalu "Goodness" pine nuts were what I had. Made in China according to packet, so seems to fit.

Gosh, thats kinda weird. Wasn't there something lately about a scarcity of pinenuts or something in the last few months. I know my local supermarket almost doubled the price of them earlier in the year.
