For those with a 'cupla focail' :) ‘Idir an Dá Shúil’ opens tonight for a week at The Black Box. (Tues 8th June)
"The Irish language co-production between Taibhdhearc na Gaillimhe, the National Irish Language Theatre based in Galway, and new Dublin-based theatre company TiAitreo takes the audience through the shadowy events that lead to a man's untimely demise".

It's loosely based on the 'lying eyes' story and is done film noir style.
Promises to be good. I will try to understand half of it!:p

3pm Spanish Arch, Sat July 24th.

(Not today as per the Advertiser, someone obviously didn't read the email properly!)

Basically an opportunity to walk and shoot photos as a social event. More details at http://worldwidephotowalk.com/walk/galway-galway-ireland-spanish-arch/

There's over 900 cities taking part, so it should be a bit of fun. Spaces are limited to 50, because that's a massive group to be walking around!

Saw a very good film at it last year or the year before.

When we arrived at the Film Fleadh ticket booth, we asked the guy what films were starting relatively soon. He said we could see "either the musical film or the massacre film".

We decided against the musical and went to the "massacre film".

It was very good. It would have been even better if we weren't told the fcuking ending though. It was an independent New Zealand produced film, based on a true story.

    Here it is actually. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Out_of_the_Blue_%282006_film%29

    Hi all,

The NUIG/GMIT SubAqua Club will be carrying out its annual sponsored dive to raise money for the Galway RNLI station this weekend in the Galway Atlantaquaria.

This year we've extended the dive from 24hrs to 30hrs to cover the opening hours of the aquarium on both the Saturday and Sunday. A number of divers from the club will participate in the uninterrupted dive in the Ocean Tank and the whole event will be webcast LIVE via our webpage (galwaydiving.com).

John Kileen of "Let's Do It Galway" will launch the dive together with local RNLI members.

We hope to raise as much money as possible for the RNLI so please drop in to give your support or make an online donation via our event webpage. ;)

    www.galwaydiving.com/30-hour-dive
or follow the event page on Facebook.

    Thanks! :)
