URGENT! Help with Visual Imagery essay title clarification

    1. Cognitive Psychology Essay
    Mental images share many properties with visual images, but are they
    the same thing? Discuss the similarities and differences between
    visual and mental images and provide empirical support for each.

    I need ideas on how one would approach this essay.

    My initial ideas are that mental images are quite similar to visual images but are not exactly the same so there are also differences to discuss.
    Visual imagery is also a component of mental imagery along with olfactory imagery, tactile imagery, Auditory imagery and kinesthetic imagery.

    My idea is that i compare visual imagery to each of the other sense modalities: olfactory,tactile etc.

    Would I be write in approaching this essay like this??

    I would very grateful if someone could lead me in the write direction as it is very urgent that i clarify this
