Concentration

    I´m not sure if anyone can help me here but it´s something that´s seriously effecting my life.

    I have serious problems concentrating doing pretty much anything. I work, study and play a lot of sports but I just can´t fulfill what I´m capable of in any of these because I can´t stick to it. At the moment I´m studying for exams in June and they´re topics I know I can pass if I put the time in but I just can´t bring myself to do it. I start to study and then something pops into my head and I head off into something else. I´ve tried removing any distractions by going to the library but there´s always something there if I need it.

    It´s getting me down a lot because when I´m not doing what I really need/want to be doing I feel guilty and my self-confidence drops a lot. I´m certainly not being true to myself.

    I´m perfectly happy with the things I want to do (career path etc) so motivation is not a problem in the long term but may be in the short term.

    Any help would be great.

    I think you should focus on getting your degree and think of the study
    as worth while and important. Allow yourself breaks and go for a walk
    to clear your head if your feeling stressed, Perhaps you should see
    your G.P. and try to ensure you have a healthy diet with exercise.

    You have to focus & have a bit of self control. Draw up a detailed study plan that gives you plenty of breaks and follow it. Imagine the feeling of failing your exams or not getting the marks you think you should have every time you feel like ditching the books when you should be studying.
