okay this is one concern i have about my weight loss

i have always had chubby cheeks like majorly and when i was in school i wasn't even big but because of my face i was always called fat

and now i have been losing weight - only 10 pound in 3 weeks but im worried that i wont lose it in the face and thats my major insecurity.

like i have lost weight a few years back, maybe a stone and i was about 12 stone then but now im 14. my goal is 10 stone and i know it will take a long time but is it hard to lose the weight off your face.. like will i eventually lose it ?

cause even with the 10 pounds lost im noticing a weight loss almost everywhere except my face

The shape of your face can cause appearances which are deceptive. People with very prominent cheekbones and a pointing chin, for example, can appear gaunt even if they're overweight.

If you are overweight and you drop to your healthy weight, yes you will notice a difference in your face. But the shape of your face may mean that you appear "chubby" cheeked no matter what. Think of Vicky Binns from Coronation St.
However when you do lose the weight, if comments continue to be made, you can be confident in yourself that you're not overweight and there's no truth in it. The only insults which hurt are those ones which make you think there may be some truth in it.

Yes, i have the same shaped face as Vicky Binns but when she lost her weight you could notice it in her face but its still really round because of her shape so i wouldn't mind if there were some change in the face cause i dont want to look weird, having a fat face but a small body because im only 5 2, and im hoping to get to 9 stone or even 10

see its gonna be weird because all my life i have been the chubby child lol .. i just was reading on other forums and people say the face is the last usually to see results

    *tough love alert*

you are 5 2" and 14 stone? Im about 13.5 stone stone and im a 6 ft guy and my face doesnt even look thin.. moral of the story = keep loosing weight @ rate of 1 to 2 LB per week and it will sort itself out .

The more weight you lose - yes it will change.

YOu will loseweight off your face but you cannot change the shape of your face.

It depends, my face is always the first place I lose weight from but others seem to keep the chubbiness until they have lost nearly all the weight. Look at this way Alpha you have started on the road to weight loss and if you keep at it you will begin to see changes in a couple of months, just be patient.

Well done on your weight loss so far.

I think you need to start focusing on the positive .. as in your fantastic weigh lost so far! well done!

I'm also 5 2 and have the chubby cheeks to contend with so i totally understand where your coming from, the thing is no one can really change there figure drastically, you can only really improve on what you have!

Think of it this way - a lot of the time when people lose weight they can appear ''aged'' due to excessive weight lost on the face which can create wrinkles .. you'll never have that to complain about!

There are plenty of ways to lengthen/ slim a round face with hairstyles so maybe consider this a well!

Finally I find the only way that i will ever really slim my face is via exercise, a slight jog works wonders, must be all the cheek bouncing!!

    Good Luck!
