Really excited for this game. I'm pretty confident, as we have had an unbelievable record at home in the last 2 seasons. It really is exceptional form, I just hope we can hold Drogba out because he does tend to score against us a lot.

Another big game for our midfield without Palacios, I hope they are as good at closing down the Chelsea players as they were against Arsenal. I assume Rose won't be starting this one?!

Oh man I'd love to see both Lennon and Bale on the wings! That would really give Chelsea something to think about.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,661 ✭✭✭mickman

lennon and bale would be awesome but he will hardly start, ud never know though. as far as i know he is fully fit but the injury just gives a little pain now and then. we will have to wait until after training today and tomorrow

a draw would be fine tomorrow in fairness. the pressure is off us a little after beating the arse

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,467 ✭✭✭mushykeogh

Chelsea had some shakey moments at home against bolton mid week. We beat them here last year and confidence must be high after the arsenal game. If we win this, i think wel get fourth. A draw wouldnt be bad result but a win would be just brilliant!

Yeah a win would be brilliant :) Don't hold back!

My flight is at 1130am for this tomorrow, looks like thats not happening. Dissapointing to say the least. Anyway, Lennon and Bale on each side would be mind blowing. Lets hope we get to see them play together soon.

With or withour Azza, 2-1 Spurs

Dawson with the winner ala Woodgate 2 years ago!

Ledley could play this weekend which would be only the second time this season he's played two games in such a short duration Lennon took full part in training today but they aren't going to risk him tomorrow

Anyone heading in to watch this is Tom Mayes or Murray's?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,153 ✭✭✭everdead.ie

Ancilotti reckons we're going to be challanging for the title next year really hope we can get the three points drawing isn't good enough anymore we need to win and aim for a win whatever the result at City of Manchester Stadium

    I'm saying 3-1!

Out of the traps like a greyhound and two quick goals with one early Goal in the second half.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,661 ✭✭✭mickman

it seems improbable that we can put in another performance like we did wed night, even though you woud never know.

a draw woud be fine in my opinion as city lost to united. they play arsenal next week at the emirates and arsenal will kill them id say as van persie will be able to s tart. we wil prob lose to united so that would leave us level on points with 3 games left and they have a harder last 3 then we do

if we win today then we will be favourites for 4th and dont we deserve it after the season we have had in fairness

Ledley not in squad, Rose on bench according to bbc

Phew! Was worrid there. Pav missing two sitters at the end.

Fantastic win though. 6 points from Arsenal and Chelsea. Bring on Utd :P

Thank god we won not pav's day but there's always next week

What a result and what a great two games against Arsenal and Chelsea. We done it without Wilson and the biggest thing for me is that the whole team played well in both games.

How unfortunate for those who decided they weren't going to watch Spurs after the FA cup game. You missed some of the best Tottenham team performances for years. Then again the weather is good for gardening or walking with the missus but I know which I'd rather be doing!!

    COME ON YOU SPURS

    well called !!!

pity I didnt back this ..... am a pool fan (for shame !!) .... but glad the title race is back open ...hope the bookies get caught after paying out on chelsea.

its a tough one for me to say but of the 3 that have a chance I hope arsenal win it ( I know I shouldnt say that in a spurs fan thread but thats my preference - would also hope liverpool can get 4th - but I severly doubt that can/will happen)

What a win. Seriously buzzin after such a **** start to a week. Should have been about 6-1 but I will take it. Always in back of my mind that goal diff could decide this. Some great performances out there. Cant wait to get Azza back, Bale one side,Aaron the other. Who would have thought eh.COYS.

If they'd won the semi last weekend I doubt they'd have won those two games so maybe it'll work out ok in the end. :)

Heh, I was thinking the exact same earlier :D

Still I'm delighted the way the lads have responded against Arsenal and today against Chelsea, they have really stepped up.

Chelsea fans weren't singing about "3 point lane" going home :p

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,951 ✭✭✭SuprSi

I was jumping around the apartment today after we won today, in a way similar to when Ireland won the Grand Slam. A few beers and I was on cloud 9. I'm still in shock - I've watched the highlights of the City v's Utd & Spurs v's Chelsea game on both RTE and BBC and I'm still smiling!! :D

    COYS!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,153 ✭✭✭everdead.ie

If the pav from any other week of the season had turned up today he'd have a hat trick but his hold up play and link up with the rest of the team was excellent.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,153 ✭✭✭everdead.ie

Ment to mention I thought a proper right back might of dealt better with the Lampard and Bendtner goals someone like Ivanovich would of stopped them but Kaboul's a CB and we won so doesn't matter:D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,081 ✭✭✭ziedth

I just fell in the door.

Went to see derren brown but saw more important magic on espn today (I know know but I'm drunk :))

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,598 ✭✭✭chiefwiggum

the beauty of being a spurs fan...youre on the floor one minute and in the heavens the next....i dunno how anyone supports a united or chelsea...whats that.. another premier league title..great...every trophy blends into the next...much better off following someone else(us,villa, everton) much much more sweeter when we do the biz

    COME ON YOU SPURS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,661 ✭✭✭mickman

guys i think we will all agree that arsenal had way more of the ball then we did on wed night and we beat them with counter attacks. but we beat chelsea off the park, we should have scored 4. they coudnt live with us, we thumped the team that are winning the league and they had less injuries than we did. it was a fantastic day once again at the lane

another world class save from gomes, if that went it , we would have been 1-1 at half time and the game would have been far different. im not going to comment on the rest of the team as there is ony one thing to say, they were all amazing from start to finish.

wil lennon and wilson come back in? who can you drop. you should never change a winning team
