Super Street Fighter 4 launch event

To celebrate the release of Super Street Fighter IV the Irish fighting game community will be hosting a super street fighter IV event on saturday the 1st of may.

Entry to the event is free

Start time will be 12 noon - Finish 8pm

There will also be a new character only tournament which will be free to enter, the winner will receive a limited edition street fighter T-Shirt and a copy of Super Street Fighter IV provided by capcom.

Tin won't be playing ibuki, he's going for juri. He doesnt wanna mess up his 3s ibuki and makoto by playing the ssf4 ones.

Which makes sense. I'll be going for ibuki myself but fear not, even though I was never that good with her, what I could do well has been removed from her in ssf4 it seems.

The tournament is going to be a japanese style tournament, 1 character single elimination. I know thats not how we normally run tournaments, but this event isn`t really about the tournament, its more about promoting the game and reaching out to new players in the community and of course to have fun

If the NI SF4 players head down they'll assumedly be heading down for the whole thing so I'd be travelling alone!

Not certain if I can make it for 4, I'll have to check.

With a single elim tourney, we can just use one or two consoles and have the rest free for casuals.

Dunno about cheap but there's a camera shop on Grafton St that sells Tripods.

I've recently bought a tripod in pc world for €25.I'll bring it along if we need it.

I could hook my camera directly up to get direct feed footage if this is the case. And then someone else could capture crowd reactions? Just an idea, I've not tested this method yet, must do so at a casuals soon.
