Did anyone watch that Panorama on Alderhey hospital last night: http://news.bbc.co.uk/panorama/hi/default.stm

I was totally shocked and shouting at the tv over one mother's treatment of her 66kg 5 year old son! She actually thought that because she wasn't feeding him chips, pizza, chocolate, etc that he could eat what he wanted. In the course of 2 hours he had a piece of chocolate cake, two weetabix topped with a banana and strawberries and a dinner of mashed spuds, mushy peas and chicken (bigger than a portion most adults would eat) forced upon him.

I know that a lot of parents are uninformed or just lazy about their children's nutrition, but I've never seen such ignorance in the face of advice from experienced medical professionals. It was sickening.

She might blame it on genetics but the kids in school won't care when they are slagging him.

I can see the kid getting a hard time in school :(
