HI - Im on a calorie controlled diet, Im looking for liquid egg whites, has anyone seen them anywhere in Ireland (Dublin)? - there is a thread on here asking about them but it goes back to 2004 and Im hoping that they have been made available here since then. Someone mentioned to me that they heard they are available in Dunnes but they were not sure so putting it out there to see if anyone has seen them or knows the name of them? Thanks

Yes some dunnes have it, this comes up a lot in the fitness forum where weightlifters are eating them for protein. I think only the bigger dunnes stores might have them though, in the the refrigerated section. I think it would be cheaper to buy own brand eggs in supermarkets and separate them. I would just eat the whole egg myself.

Thanks RubaDub - I will check out Dunnes - I feel guilty if I dont buy free range eggs and then I feel guilty for throwing the yolk out so I thought the egg whites would be a good option - (maybe I need to work on the guilt thing though!)

Dunnes in Swords, and JC in Swords have them even cheaper. But JC also has a dozen free range eggs for 1.99, which would be cheaper to just deyolk yourself.

Two Chicks. They are usually near the milk, and in a light yellow carton.

They can be eaten raw without risk of salmonella is that correct or am I mistaken?

    Link

It says they are pasteurised on the website. What are you going to do with them OP? Low-fat omelettes?
