Watched this over the weekend... What a movie... If you haven't seen it, go out of your way to! Lou Ferrigno and Arnie at their peaks.

Gives you a good gauge of how massive bodybuilding was at the time. Golds Gym Venice Beach and all that. Also, I never realised how funny Arnie is in real life!

Raw Iron? That's pretty cool too. By farand away the star of the show was Lou Ferrigno's dad. What a guy!!

Brilliant film. Thought Arnie was hilarious in it. The version I saw had little commentaries by him all the way through which was even better.

Arnold Schwarzenegger: Franco is pretty smart, but Franco's a child, and when it comes to the day of the contest, I am his father. He comes to me for advices. So it's not that hard for me to give him the wrong advices.

It's as satisfying to me as, uh, coming is, you know? As, ah, having sex with a woman and coming. And so can you believe how much I am in heaven? I am like, uh, getting the feeling of coming in a gym, I'm getting the feeling of coming at home, I'm getting the feeling of coming backstage when I pump up, when I pose in front of 5,000 people, I get the same feeling, so I am coming day and night. I mean, it's terrific. Right? So you know, I am in heaven.

****in' legend! I laugh every time.

"i don't drink milk at all. milk is for babies. when you grow up, you have to drink beer!"

Naaaaaaaahhhh!! If you wanna see guys like that now, just bust open men's health :D:D

I never bought into the whole Arnie thing either. His chest and arms were ridiculously out of proportion to everything else.

I suspect that was just the fashion at the time. Ginourmous backs were all the rage a couple of years ago (I think). Arnie spends alot of time putting other competitors off during the movie. Not a BB fan myself, worth a look anyway IMO.

Anyone know of/reccommend any recent docu or movie similar to pumping iron?

    Good film.

Interview with Arnie saying that most of the interactions were scripted or at least loosely pre-planned.

No, and if anyone recommends 'Ronnie Coleman: The Cost of Redemption', then my recommendation is that they be killed on the spot.

I'd have to agree with you, considering he was running for governor at the time.
He also tried to say the spliff was fake, added for 'dramatic purposes' or some ****e.
