    What exercises would you do?

    For example;

    (I know the guys are obviously posing in those photos, but they're shoulders are still massive in reality anyway)

    What would you be looking at? Would you need to be already at bodybuilder level before trying your luck at it, or could you start trying to build them up from fat ass beginner level?

    Not technically shoulders, they're 'traps'. Go to exrx.net and look up the trapezius (sp), it has loads of exercises.

    If you wanted big shoulders... you need to know where your shoulders are first.

    For traps however, I found deadlifts make the most difference, shrugs will do a job too. Deads ftw.

    second deadlifts and would go so far as to say i do not think anyone is going to put on serious muscle without some kind of heavy deadlifting

    3rd deads. Lots of them.

    But unless you're at an advanced level, forget about targeting a specific muscle. You want to be squatting, pressing and all the other big stuff first and worry about having crazy sized traps later.

    agreed - double body weight deadlift first

    I'm sure you could get resonable size in your traps with some oly lifts, row and shrug variations too........

    If you're not deadlifting, you're not growing...
