    LivCrestPinBadge05.gif v fulham_badge.jpg

Okay given our home form is pretty good expect the three points here. Both teams may still meet in EL Final with Liverpool overcoming Benfica at Anfield in midweek

The standout stat is that Fulham have yet to beat Liverpool at Anfield in 28 attempts and have gone 15 games without an away win in the league.

Anyone know if there is a radio station which will have commentary on the match? Radio 5 Live and Newstalk are both just offering updates while commentating on other matches. I can't make it to the pub to watch it on TV and streaming it over the internet isn't an option for me either unfortunatly :(

Outside of LFC TV radio commentary (if you are a member) cant think of any alternatives.

Your fecked so!! 5live would be your best bet, but you obviously have an idea of their schedule already!

You might find it on Radio City, have to google it.

Roy Hodgsen has already said he'll rotate his squad for this game, so Murphy, Duff, Zamora etc may not be starting.

When you say streaming is not an option, do you mean that you won't have access to the internet??

The starting 11, yes. Kuyt on the bench dunno about the rest yet

Reina, Johnson, Carragher, Kyrgiakos, Agger, Mascherano, Aquilani, Babel, Maxi, Gerrard, Ngog.

Subs: Cavalieri, Kuyt, Benayoun, Lucas, Degen, Pacheco, Ayala.

    No Torres :(
    No Kuyt
    No Insua

    Aquilani starting.

    Strange line-up.

Wonder what the Fulham line-up will be?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,160 ✭✭✭tok9

ah no.. no insua or Torres... hoping for Maxi to do some damage (all FF reasons)

that said it looks like an attacking team. Delighted to see Aqua and Babel start and hopefully Gerrard will continue to improve his form.

    going for 2-0

Cheers. Am I right in thinking its the first time Masch, Aqua, Lucas and Gerrard have started together this season

    Lucas on the bench;)

Think you're right that all 4 have never all started together - not surprising really.

Yes just spotted that. Lucas on the bench. that is suprising. But Aqua needs a run out. Hope his ankle stands up to the strain

    Is torres injured?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,492 ✭✭✭MementoMori

From the official, just to clarify on Insua.

Fowler forbid if Agger gets injured hard to know you will end up at LB - come be Johnson with Degen replacing him :o
David Ngog starts in place of the injured Fernando Torres against Fulham - a game you can listen to live from 2.30pm BST.

Meanwhile, Daniel Agger continues at left-back in place of Emiliano Insua, who is also injured.

The Reds XI in full is: Reina, Johnson, Carragher, Kyrgiakos, Agger, Mascherano, Aquilani, Babel, Maxi, Gerrard, Ngog. Subs: Cavalieri, Kuyt, Benayoun, Lucas, Degen, Pacheco, Ayala.

    Is toress injured?

He's hasnt been properly fit since he came back and his injury is clearly being managed.I'm disappointed but not that surprised he isn't in the squad.

Wouldnt mind seeing Degen for a few minutes. Always lively on the ball.

    Feck strong looking Fulham side.

Was hoping the rumours about Zamora and Hangeland being out would be true.
Fulham: Schwarzer, Baird, Hangeland, Hughes, Konchesky, Greening, Murphy, Etuhu, Duff, Nevland, Zamora.
Subs: Zuberbuhler, Kelly, Shorey, Okaka, Riise, Smalling, Dikgacoi.

Insua's injured? Anyone know what the problem is? Other than the fact that Torres is out, I'm quite happy with that lineup, should be enough to see off an uninterested Fulham.

Edit-Just saw the post above, ignore my remarks about Fulham being uninterested I guess. Still think we'll win however.

Fulham are terrible away from home and Liverpool are very strong at home I'll go 2-1 Liverpool

Dont want to temp to fate but with our home form and their away form, a home win must be nailed on. Im backing Ngog to break his barren streak this afternoon.

Except for his complete inability to defend whatsoever, I have no problem with Degen.

I reckon we'd probably be better off playing Cavailieri at LB if we had to defend than Degen.

Eight of the side who started in the Wolfsburg game starting for Fulham.

How difficult the match will be will depend a lot on Fulham's attitude.

Dave might be a decent bet for an anytime goal scorer bet,

    Greening v v lucky there.
Looked like it could have almost been a red to me.

    :pac: Ridiculous cross from Aquilani.

Think ref was right to leave Greening on, woulda ruined the game. Plus, he'll probably be gone in a while anyway.

What are we like folks. Ngog doing okay?

Well on top - defence having a very easy day. Fulham sitting very deep.
Most of the match being played in Fulham's third.
Have had a number of half-chances.
    Passing the ball reasonably well.
Gerrard doing well as is Aquilani.
    Dave doing decent imo.
    Fulham defending as a unit.

I really hope Aquilani can get a full preseason this year, really like the look of him as a player.

I still don't get why Benitez plays Babel on the left.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,535 ✭✭✭joe123

David Ngog is simply not good enough to play for liverpool. We never look like scoring when he leads the line.

Cos Zamora has done feck all with the balls being hoofed up to him.
Zamora's hardly going to get into the English squad on the basis of his
    performance today.

9 shots to 1 tells the story of how the first-half has gone.

If we had coverted one of those chances I reckon it would have be game over as Fulham seem to have just enough fight in them to hang on for the draw but don't look remotely like they would have enough fight to get back into a game.
