Knee pain when doing lunges

    Hi,

I've been having problems with my knee over the last few months. I've been to the doctor and to physio and am due to get an MRI in a couple of weeks. In the meantime, I've been given exercises to do by my physio, some of which are side and back lunges. These lunges really seem to be putting pressure on my knee and really don't feel like they're doing any good! I'm not looking for medical advise or anything - but does this sound normal to you guys?

I'm tempted to not do the lunges because the pain has definitely increased since doing them...I could even physically feel heat coming off my knee afterwards. Could it be my form?

    Thanks in advance

Hi Joan, if these are exercises that have been prescribed to you by the physio then I'm afraid it's not really something that can be advised on here.

Really hope you get it sorted soon though!
