Bad Cold

I'm nearly two weeks off lifting now, one due to a trip to Barcelona and another due to the fact I've contracted a bad cold, I'm blowing my nose every other minute and I've an awful, chesty cough, I generally just feel wrecked.

That having been said I'm mad to get back lifting as I don't want to leave too much of a deficit, is it worth waiting til I'm better or just struggle through it best I can?

Get it checked out by a doc first man. Then see what he says. 2 weeks off won't kill you.

just getting over a bad cold too .. I trained thru it, albeit at much lighter intensity .. listen to your body, if you can do something then go ahead but you will know if your not up to it.. Im not the best person to advise on this cos I tend to train thru anything, even when i probably shouldnt

This isn't intended as medical advice, but if you're sure it's a cold and nothing worse, then usually it's fine to do light exercise provided the cold isn't below your neck (e.g. in your chest as well).

But to be safe, a doctor's visit might put your mind at rest, and failing that, it might be easier to stay home and rest, as you don't want to make your cold worse and have to spend more time off.
