Oh god not IRA. Hate seeing people running around with that as a clan tag. Half of them dont even know what IRA stands for
As for myself I don't use a clan tag. I find that I stand out more without one since everyone has some form of letter combo infront of their name. The again, Being in a clan thats in my actual gamertag means I dont ened a clantag per se

What makes me laugh is people with ira as their clan tag , look at their motto or bio and you see liverpool fc , me thinks they are confused.

[EIRE]. Never seen anyone using [1916] before

In liverpool there are 2 main teams and years ago Everton was the Catholic team and Liverpool the protestant.

I get why people use EIRE but IRA?? Seriously, get over yourself, you're not in the IRA, you'll never be in the IRA and if you really want to be in the IRA, why are you using the Ivory Coast flag as your callsign? I'm all for National Pride, but fools using the IRA clan tag and Ivory Coast flag are often the butt of jokes between myself and my mates.

I mix it up from time to time depending what mood I'm in or what I've been watching recently that was memorable enough to warrant a clan tag :D

Part of my point was aimed towards the abundance of people who do use the supposed "Irish" flag. My other part was aimed at people who use IRA as their clan tag. It's not funny, unoriginal and as a result they're the butt of jokes within my circle of friends.

Not in a clan so I dont bother with a clan tag...

I'm sure you'll soak your pillow in tears alright.

And you really want to judge me based on my opinion? What reason do you have for using IRA as your clan tag? Are you in the IRA? Was/Is a member your family in the IRA? Unless you're a criminal, I doubt this. My point is that people using the IRA clan tag seem, for the most part, to be a bunch of immature fools who still have a strong hatred for the English based on what happened during the late 19th Century/Early 20th Century.

To me clan tags mean sfa .......I'd be more interested in seeing if the opposite team are actually any good rather than paying any notice to 3/4 letters before their username .

Ah, I forgot about Rb :p Well people tend to act like that in game, so it probably just comes naturally to this part of the forum :)

Clan Tags should not be in the game unless you really are in a clan

I got into 24 recently so in hommage to Jack Bauer and co I was sporting CTU as my tag:D Counter Terrorism Unit for anyone who doesn't know.
Otherwise I'll use my hometown abbreviation when I'm playing with the lads around the town. We often play in a Clan together.
