I cannot stand Craig Doyle....he is very good looking but always looks like he's too good for rte. He always manages to look really smug, like what he's doing is below him as a human being!

Yeah but ITV Sport like blandness so he soon moved over to ITV4.

Not sad at all! Not compared to the people who hate both Ryan Tubridy & Brendan O'Connor with a passion yet feel the need to come on here every week and whinge about them because they are under the impression that because they pay their licence fee they have to like / watch every second of RTE's output.....

Those preview ads for the show are cringe. Let's rip off the dairy milk commercials at the expense of original thought.

Craig Doyle's first guests are revealed
The guests for the first show in the new series 'Tonight with Craig Doyle' have been announced.Joining host Craig Doyle for his first programme are singer Latoya Jackson, 'X Factor' judge Louis Walsh and actress Victoria Smurfit. Musical entertainment on the night will be provided by Kate Nash, with comedian Jarleth Regan also set to drop in for a quick performance.

Speaking about his first show, Doyle said: "We've got a great line up for Saturday night - Latoya Jackson has flown in to share her memories of her brother Michael and give some insight into his tragic death. Louis Walsh drops by to fill us in on Jedward's hectic schedule and whether he thinks Dannii will be back on 'X Factor' this season. And Victoria Smurfit relives the terrifying experience of being shot at in South Africa on New Year's Eve."

He also said: "We have a house-band on set as well with Roberta Howett (former 'X Factor' contestant) as the lead singer. I'm really excited about the new series and can't wait to put my own stamp on Saturday nights. Watch 'Tonight With Craig Doyle' this Saturday at 9.50pm on RTÉ One.

Really cant believe that Louis Walsh is on again. Why dont they give some people with real musical talent a shot instead of promoting his production line rubbish. Was listening today to Craig Doyle and he was saying to Ray Foley (I think) that Latoya comes out with some amazing stuff about Michael.... but he's gonna say that isnt he.

It's a wind-up freaking Louis Walsh is on again tonight, right? He was only on Ballsy O'Connor's show a couple of Saturdays ago. Must have had an exciting few days he's breathless to tell us about. Can't wait.

Big D4 head on Craig Doyle. All we get is boggers and fellas with big D4 heads on them.

Unless he's had a sudden personality overhaul I doubt he'll be anything but the smugest git in RTE come this evening. It's okay to judge home grown chat shows before seeing them as the formal has repeatedly failed RTE. And come on how the hell can you not criticise a show which features the same guest as the last episode of the Saturday Night Show which aired less than a month ago.

2 weeks ago to be exact. A fortnight. 14 whole days. Maybe he's going to announce he's going to run for President or come out of the wardrobe. Has to be something big otherwise it'd just look pretty bad to be frank. Anyway I'll be watching.

Guess who is on tonight, go on guess guys, thats right Louis walsh:rolleyes: what a surprise, who would of thought he would be on some cheap tactless chat show.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,682 ✭✭✭LookingFor

The audience sounds...strange. I mean the laughter. Is it canned laughter? It really sounds like it but I can't imagine they'd use a laugh track with a live audience?

edit - also..slightly awkward rapport with LaToya..the whole 'rocking in the corner' question :|

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 431 ✭✭punkindrublic

Wasn't latoya on the late late show with tubridy not too long ago?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,472 ✭✭✭✭thesandeman

There must be a new Head Shop opened in Donnybrook.

Its not live, so I'd say the laughter is 'edited'.

She sounds like one of the Muppets ...

Actually, she kinda looks like one of them as well :D

He's pretty sh1te at interviewing.. Never actually watched any of his shows before this. Everything he says seems so scripted

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 12,333 ✭✭✭✭JONJO THE MISER

Oh dear god, its canned laughter, and i thought brendan connors show was bad but this must be the worst show ive seen on RTE and that is saying a lot, i think the cardboad set is going to fall over in a minute.

Awful idea. It's just not right in this type of show.

Some insecurity after the fact about audience feedback, massaged to 'sound better'/livelier?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,718 ✭✭✭✭JonathanAnon

Jaysus he was murdered.. Cant believe she said that.

I'm gonna ring Jim Corr to find out who did it?

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 12,333 ✭✭✭✭JONJO THE MISER

 Breakin News, Michael Jackson was murdered according to Latoya.
