They only charge 5 pounds if you use a "free" email one, you can use AOL though They do free email addresses and DS accept them.

According to Alexa, it's a bigger site than Bebo. Only thing is the Chit-Chat section can get a bit messy. They need more sections.

Strangely enough, only 34.3% of boards.ie visitors are from Ireland. (See http://www.big-boards.com/board/108/). Apparently 26.1% are visiting the site from Germany.

Very interesting stats though. You can also clearly see the massive drop in visitors on the day boards was hacked. lol.

They're not that bad at all. I mentioned boards on there before, and it ended up as a big boards love-in. I'd say more people on AH are right /b/tards than would admit to.

I'm more concerned about the child porn that gets posted up there. Sure it's removed but they can't get it all immediately.

I've been here for nearly 7 years and never saw it once (not saying it doesn't happen but I've never seen any). I went on 4chan a total of four times and saw about two or three. It's a bigger problem there.

It's also a much, much bigger board. As you admit yourself, the mods on 4chan work to get rid of it and ban users who post it, so it's not like it's actively tolerated there, it's more a case of the same kind of **** that any message board on the internet gets subjected to, including boards. 4chan gets a bad rep, but honestly, most of the internet humour and memes that get repeated on boards originates from 4chan. It's a great site, but as with any site, it has it's negatives.

I'll also say I have a huge amount of respect for 4chan's protests against scientology and the recent action against the Australian government. In my opinion, those anonymous idiots do some good work.

Joined them at protests in Dublin myself a few times.

The protest will be on the 10th of April and will be starting up at 11am
and finishing at around 5-6pm or so.

What to bring?
Cake, Masks, signs/banners, video cameras and most importantly
