What's the best way to keep a belly in shape?

I'm a skinny guy but lately I'm bothered by a small bit of belly bulge. I have a bit of an indented chest so I wouldn't 'fill out' evenly with weight distribution if I was to let myself go a tad, therefore to me it looks more obvious that I need to keep on top of things. People tell me I'm paranoid etc but I know my body better than them.

I used to alway walk to and from work every day (15 minutes walk) but since I got a car that made me lazy, though I do prefer walking the short distances when I can. So to make up for this I've recently started running for 15 minute spurts. I've no patience for the gym and find running boring, hence why I only do a lap of an area where I live 2, maybe 3 times a week.

I've tried to cut down on what I eat but then someone would give out to me saying it will mess up my metabolism and make matters worse, beer belly will be easier achieved.

So my question is, what is or what are the best ways to keep a belly in shape and lose that little bit of fat? For every person that says "do sit ups" there is someone else that says "that's no good". I would like to know what works best without having to go OTT with a fitness regime.

I'd say diet and a bit more exercise would be your best friend, the experts will no more.

HIIT or High Intensity Interval Training will reduce that bit of ''belly bulge''.Just do 2mins moderate pace followed by 1min flat out for a total of 15mins on either rower/bike/treadmill followed by some stability ball crunches/planks and your tummy will be toned in no time. You can also do circuit training (crunches, burpees, push ups, lunges without rest) on alternative days.Eat 6-7smaller meals instead of 3large meals as this stimulates your metabolism to burn fat;have protein(tuna, chicken, turkey, tofu, ham, steak etc. will provide for your requrements)with every meal.Reduce carb intake in the evening.Drink a lot of water,3litres minimum, sip it slowly or you'll be in the loo all day!
