Stepping down as mod of TCN

    After a PM conversation with Dav and the admins last night, it has been decided I've completely overstepped the mark as a moderator for TCN, and I won't be in charge of it much longer.

    I've gone off half-cocked and changed this forum in ways it should never have been changed, made a lot of enemies in the process, and to paraphrase Dav, it's coming back to bite me in the ass after I started 6 months ago.

    I'm sure Colrow, CDfm and little Staker will be over the moon. Congratulations, kids. You won.

    A replacement mod will be announced later today. I'd like to say it's been a pleasure, but we all know I just don't get along with any of you, and it would be an insult to lie to you at this stage.

    Last announcement I'll get to make:

    The replacement mod was decided just a few minutes ago. It'll be Nerin. Until then Dav himself will be stepping in to manage the forum.

    It's always unfortunate when a mod "falls out" with a forum and people get upset. We thought Sarky was the right man for this job for a number of reasons:
    1) he's a long time Boardsie
    2) he's a funny guy
    3) he's got an epic beard
    4) there is no option 4
    5) he's had people getting into his oriface for longer than anyone cares to remember
    6) Atari Lynx

    So whilst his terrible and strangely attractive presence will be missed, I believe there'll always be a part of him here. This is because I cut a sliver of his skin off his left thigh whilst he slept and stuck it to the inside of one of our web node cluster machines out in the rack in Digiweb.

    However, the people have spoken and never let it be said we didn't listen.

    Nerin is an excellent choice as successor. I've worked with him for some time over on the Nocturnal Forum since it's creation. However, there's a small problem as he is currently engaged in a Raptor hunt with the local younglings in the Wildlands and won't be able to assume the position mantle tonight.

    So, as mentioned, it falls to me to keep you all in check. Since I'm not paid overtime, I'm going to make an executive decision and deputise someone to manage it for me.

    So please welcome your new deputy mod: SARKY!

    I assumed since Dav isn't doing overtime neither is Ross,so i doubt they'll give me my badge until the next back up or whatever. Plus it gives Sarky a chance to fully abuse his powers on anyone he feels wronged him.
