    Hugh does it again

    From RP
How ludicrous was that start then? Spitfire was drawn 7, one from the outside, but no attempt was made to line them up in order and he got a running start to grab the stands' rail.

Well done Kieren Fallon, but punters had no chance.

    Anyone see this?

GET IN! HT does the double (possibly in controversial circumstances)

My advice to anyone who backed it is stop following him now, he normally follows up a winner with about 15 losers.
    Take the money and run.....lol

    Classic!

feck off, its only because I said that, that the winners started flying in. It happens every time. If you want him to keep getting winners you better start doing wire transfers into my bank account..

I'd sugest to start counting running profit/losses, something like this:
    Profit: +6.25pts @ SP +8.5pts @ Adv Price

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

HT publishes returns at advised prices every month. So not really inclined to publish advised and SP (SP is of no importance, either you get on early or not at all with HT as far as I'm concerned)

yeah, a horse got its leg stuck in the stalls for about 20-25mins and there was a massive delay freeing it, when they finally did the stalls were broken and the horses had to just go under the flag, bit daft for a 6f race but there was no way of lining them up and Fallon was smart enough to grab the rail first, i was on it at 4's so i wont complain :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,135 ✭✭✭POINTBREAK

I fancy that Fly on the right. He won before on this wall and looks a lot fitter than the other one who is having his first outing this year.

The one day i decide to stick with the football he has two winners, typical.

I think Hugh is gettin in with the wrong crowd. First a winner with a horse that pulled up last 3 times out then Kieran Fallon stealing a march on the rest after a horse got stuck in the stalls. Whats the odds his next pick will be a Barney Curley runner?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

As it happens a Barney Curley horse was withdrawn in the second race so the returns on the winner were subject to a Rule 4.

BILLSGREY at 4/1? Is that not a very short for Hugh?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

I was watching him on ATR and he says the issue is price first and foremost rather than length of odds, ie he thinks BILLSGREY should be 3/1 or 5/2 and so is overpriced. The reason most of his picks are so long is just beacuse he thinks thats usually where the value lies, but not always.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,838 ✭✭✭Nulty

    Fairplay Hugh!

First of his I've backed in a long while, got on at 3/1.

He may ought to have been evens judging by the style of the victory

It was at 16s a few mins after he posted it. I got on at 16 then it dropped a short time later to 12s.

Need to have the F5 on the go all morning as you never know when HT will post his picks.

Good enough for the bookies though, they have to wait and see like us.

Would've been funny to see them trying to shorten that 'tip' on April fool's day without having laid a penny on it!
