Ok, so I know people may argue that this is just a quick fix but has anybody anything positive to say about this diet? I've recently put on weight and I'm eager to lose about 10 pounds, dieting and regular exercise just isnt doing it for me and Im going away for the summer and really want to have lost the weight by then. Any advice on this diet would really be appreciated.

I did it for 7 days in 2008 and lost a stone. It's tough going for the first 2 days but after that it's not too bad once you get used to not eating food. It is a quick fix but the weight stayed off for about 2 months I think.. Just don't start eating everything in sight once the weight is off!!!

discussions on quick fix / fad diets arent allowed on here (sorry for back seat modding!) and the maple syrup diet counts as both.

Sensible diet and regular exercise WILL work if you do both correctly.. if you post up a typical days diet, and typical exercise workout folks might be better able to offer advice:)

Then frankly you're not doing it right. Post up what you eat, height, weight and exercise you take and posters will try to help you. To a certain extent, what's the point in losing 10 pounds for going away and then piling it back on while you're away.

There will be zero-tolerance of any pro-ana type topics or crash dieting. If you want to discuss your cabbage and rubber band diet that's alright but don't expect much support (or success for that matter). This forum is to promote healthy and varied eating - not to advise you in how to drop a stone in a week.
