    Yes. :-/
I had thought nothing of it till now, bastarding electric better not go. I hate that.

That seems pretty odd that it's happening all over the country.

Lights flickering all over the place cause of the high winds. It should subside in the next few hours. There is a discussion in the weather forum.

Back home for Easter and we've lost all the English channels and Rte is all fuzzy and flicks off intermittently:( Really reminds me of the 80s.

Been happening in Sligo all evening too - I thought it was just me tripping out a bit until the missus got back & commented on it too.

I was praying that the power didn't go during the match tonight, but after the result Man Utd got, it probably would have made my evening a lot less depressing.

It's happening in Dublin 13 as well, but only with the front room light and the Kitchen light.
I'm happy now that it's not just my house.

Smart bunch in here I see.

Rough, windy weather = flicking lights for as long as i've lived in Ireland.

    What does 2+2 make?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,704 ✭✭✭squod

No news of it on the ESB website. You'd think they'd be interested in this kind of thing like.

Haven't seen lights flicker in years. Do you like keep all your household lighting outdoors or something?

been flickering in north tipp and more importantly the Chorus MMDS seems to have blown a fuse, but it may be the arial as there are large amounts of sticky snow/ice combinations on roofs

snow here this evening is unreal, must be the cause, it started as basicly falling ice more then snow, then massive snow fall for several hours. not seen one car out on the road, so i would imagine there is a heavy loading on the grid from heating.

    Eirgrid must be having fun...

I've been noticing it myself, thought it might be stuff switching somewhere. Been long enough to trigger a few resets of the desktop downstairs.
