    Hello,

    I have a Few Questions:

I Am 11 Stone, Trying to lose about a stone but more concerned about losing fat than weight!! I have started a program for which I use HIIT & weight machines:

I feel that by doing weights that I am slowing down looking trim. For example I Am doing Cardio (HIIT) after 40mins of weight machines. I feel that I am getting broader but My body is in awful same as my belly hasn’t changed!!

For HIIT I Do 1 Min @ 8.5mph for 1 min which is a light jog following by 30 sec sprints @ 15.5mph. I do this 7/8 times until I reach 15 mins, that’s when I’m fu*cked. Although now I don’t feel as bad when I reach 15 so might up the speeds:)

??? My aim is to lose weight/fat. Not put on muscle!!

Should I continue with the weight machines ????

you should just change the program you are using totally - intervals included.

Throw in some free weights, metcons, change way you do intervals etc

also you really have to test body fat or at the least use a tape measure to check progress otherwise its guess work.

Finally if all that fails then 100% certain its your diet - post that up IN DETAIL please

I will look into those options! In regards my Diet. I know I wouldn’t have the best Diet but It is realistic. It is very consistent also, I have tried the whole strict diet thing & fell off the wagon. I know this Diet I can stick to even if it means that it slowers the speed of my fat loss down a small bit.

    So Here We go:

Breakfast: Porridge & A Cup of tea
    11.00am: Cup Of Tea
Lunch : Chicken Fillet, Muller Yoghurt & an Apple
    5.00pm: Crackerbread with Peanut Butter
7.00pm : Chicken Curry with brown Rice , few onions

Snack: Maybe Cream Crackers or an apple

The odd time I’d Make Oat Pancakes

So Tell me what ya think?

I would really hope that's not what you eat every day as that would drive me insane. You do also seem to leave a large gap between eating i.e if breakfast is at 9 and lunch at 1 that's a hell of a long time with just a cup of tea to subsist on.

You need a good bit more fruit and veg, you've heard of five a day right? It's not just rhetoric it does have a decent message to it. An apple or 2 and a few onions isn't going to cut it. I know it's what everyone says but have a read of the nutrition thread it really does have a lot of good information and some great suggestions from people.

If you've already read it then do it again and look at your diet more closely. Stop thinking about it as "going on a diet"(when you consider the actual meaning of the word diet that just sounds daft) if you can make eating healthily part of your lifestyle it will be far easier to control what you take in.

its about using the right nutrition approach for what your goals are NOT what you feel like. Overall its ok but needs some sharpening up.

Looking into those options is NOT the answer - doing it is.
