Looking forward to Ken Flo and Big Country.:D

Any idea how many fights ESPN will show?
    UFC.com says that:
    Kenny Florian v Takanori Gomi
    Roy Nelson v Stefan Struve
    Nate Quarry v George Rivera
    Ross Pearson v Dennis Siver
will all be definately televised, but is that on American tele, rather than British/Irish?

Id love to see Gomi make an impact in the UFC (im still not past the Pride>UFC thing tbh), but Kenny is going to to take this by RNC within 2rds.

I think kenny will sub him, but excited to see gomi none the less. Sub in third round i think.

Agree on struve, i love seeing him he's the peter crouch of the octagon.

Kenflo improves everytime I see him. He's one of the most complete fighters in the UFC. I like his style & he's always looking to finsh. Possibly the deadliest elbows in the UFC, well that might be going to Jon Jones now but he's up there.

Struve is a strange one alright. He's so young though & a lot to learn. He has great power in some of those strikes & I'd love to see him win.

Quarry v Rivera should be a good fight. Both guys love to KO. They're both getting on now too so I'm interested in that one.

I would have thought they'd televise the Caol Uno fight. That should be a good ground fight! He's so hard to beat & has great heart.

I'd like to see struve do well, but i cant see how he'll win this either. He didnt look good against bunatelle (spelling fail:)) and gassed badly.

Rooting for Gomi, but can only see him getting this by KO/TKO 1st or 2nd round. But my head tells me Kenflo RNC 2nd or 3rd.

Been a fan of Struve since I watched him win at 99 through a river of his own blood! Got a picture with him afterwards too, complete with huge dressing on his head wound.

Nelson has too much for him though although I'd love to be wrong.

kenflo gomi gona be a great fight but i really cant see kenny winning it.

Struve-Nelson I think is gona be a spectacle to say the least. I mean can Nelson punch that high?lol be very interesting what happens if it goes to ground. Gonna give it to Stuve though

Takanori Gomi is one of my favourite fighters. I think he will play the smart fight and repeatedly take down Ken Flo and ground and pound his way to a TKO or decision.

Either that or implode like the majority of Japanese fighters in the UFC :p

I watched Gomi in a Vale Tudo fight in September 09 I think, it was a real battle but his cardio was pathetic. Can see him gassing in the 2nd and Kenny 'never gonna be champ' Florian sub him.

If Penn moves up to WW like he's expected to announce, i can see Kenny smashing his way to the top!

Tomorrow night all depends on which Gomi turns up. I really REALLY hope the old Gomi turns up, because if he does and beats Ken Flo, Penn will have one more big match up at LW.

Its uncomfortable watching Goldberg trying to dress young!

I'm going to stick my leg out here and say struve to beat roy "fat" nelson, really hope he does. like come on theres only same many times you can use the crucifix position

kenflo to win by sub, wins for andre winner, ross pearson and tibau.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,081 ✭✭✭Fromvert

Gomi is going to gas and even if he doesn't Kenny would beat him. Kenflo easily.

    Just read this:
In an interview with Jonathan Snowden, Roy Nelson, asked about training to fight 6-10 Stefan Struve tonight, said, "Lately I've been going out to the basketball court and picking fights with the taller players."
    :p

Its on now, pre-lims anyway, Caol Uno has lost while Okami has won.

1, but there's no pre-lims on ESPN, just the fights in the OP.

Surprisingly, both of those fights ended by stoppages!!

    Okami finished Linhares
    Tibau finished Uno

Yes indeed, I would have predicted the same results as the outcome but both by decision. Hopefully Okami can move back up the MW ladder. A fight with Bisping would be of interest IMO.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,332 ✭✭✭ginoginelli

Ye. Bisping or Marquat would be good match ups.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 921 ✭✭✭sonic.trip

Jacob Volkmann def. Ronys Torres via split decision
Nik Lentz def. Rob Emerson via unanimous decision
Gleison TIbau def. Caol Uno via TKO - Round 1, 4:13
Yushin Okami def. Lucio Linhares via TKO - Round 2, 2:47
Gerald Harris def. Mario Miranda via TKO - Round 1, 4:49
Charlie Brenneman def. Jason High via unanimous decision

    balls to the second one

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,005 ✭✭✭✭callaway92

6-1 in the undercard fights for me...the only blip was choosing Rob Emerson over Nik Lentz
