Hey I was looking to know your opinions and from your expierience, what is the best excercise for improving leg strength? Squats or leg press? I'm doing squats at the mo, but I don't know if I'm makbg much progress, I'm not necessarily feeling the strength gains. I've been doing them for the past 2 months.
I also do the dead lift as well. A warm up set and 3 sets of 12 for squats and dead lift and also do calf raises. Any comments appreciated, thanks.

Squats r better, get ur form right then do 3 sets of 6 reps
    then do leg press
then look up bulgarian one leg squats...

raise the weight and drop the reps. Do 5 sets of 6/7//8 reps on squats per week. Do other stuff as above poster said(step ups, lunges bulgarians etc)

I agree with all the previous posters re:squats..I would say that unless you're into competitive bodybuilding, doing ''isolation'' calf exercises is a waste of time since they are worked synergistically or as a secondary muscle when one does any type of squats.
Front squats are better than back squats for working the quadriceps& they are also less taxing on the back, leaving you less susceptible to niggly injuries.
