....ok i know it's not "cool" to admit you watch this and that show. You put them under "guilty pleasure" with a :o emoticon. But i say let this thread be your free pass, no judgements.

Come out and admit you watch Gossip Girl or The Vampire Diaries or whatever show you're afraid to admit watching/liking :)

    Come Dine with Me

Is Come Dine With Me embarrasing?

    I always watch it.

Would probably never admit to people that I watch Glee though.

    Glee and Judge Judy....

    Oh the shame!

Can't think of anything I watch I wouldn't generally admit to. Don't watch Glee, or Vampire Diaries, or Gossip Girl.

It's been shown a year or so ago that watching Come Dine With me isn't embarrassing.

I can think of two...one circa '95 - upwardly mobile 'the working man...and woman' -there were two crazed twins that i thought were cool
and the other even though it doesnt seem to be continued was dating in the dark :S

    And rightly so.

Those shows are awful, the characters are so bad that they don't come across as human beings...

    America's Next Top Model :o

I hate it, and usually end up screaming at the screen (usually when Tyra Banks is on), but it's a real love-to-hate show for me

Watched 'Grey's Anatomy' for a few years but stopped earlier this year... it went from quite a well written show to absolute drivel full of unlikeable characters! Same goes for 'Brothers And Sisters'.

Despite it's flaws, 'Glee' is a damn entertaining little show.

'Come Dine With Me' isn't embarassing.. it's by and large the only worthwhile "reality series" Channel 4 have done in years. Dave Lamb (the narrator) is superb also!

No others as far I can remember!

    Sexcetera.

Judge me all you want, but there's better reporting being done on that show than on anything I've seen on RTE / SKY. Plus it's kinky and the girlfriend gets ideas.

I certainly wasn't judging, I was just giving my opinion.

Fair play to him for admitting he watches them.

    "Ugly Betty"
(Don't think it's embarassing to like "Glee", always been a fan of Ryan Murphy).

I probably watch more shows that would be considered guilty pleasures than acclaimed shows.

Glee, Brothers and sisters and Survivor....

Nothing wrong with Survivor or Glee - they're awesome... Haven't seen Brothers and Sisters, so can't comment...

I suppose at the end of the day it comes down to individual tastes...
A lot of people would slag off shows like Stargate, Supernatural, Doctor Who etc. but a lot of the posters in the tv thread are fans of that genre of shows...
I'm sure over on other sites, certain people wouldn't get a slagging for watching the likes of Gossip Girl, The Hills etc., but those of us who enjoy a good episode of Star Trek would probably have the piss ripped out of us...

Different strokes for different folks and all that malarkey...

A lot of the time I'd agree with you about the characters - still can't miss an episode of any of those shows though... I'd probably also agree that they're awful, but I watch on regardless... ;)

    The Delicious Miss Dahl

(Two eps in and I still can't cook a thing.) :pac:

Haahaha the thoughts of watching TBBT, I saw it again the other night for some reason, Raj says thank you to Penny without being drunk and it looked like they slept together. I have to agree though the OCD character can have me crack a smile but that isn't saying much when were talking about TBBT.

Smallville is the most embarrassing show I like I think. However I am liking Cogar Town (But I think that is because they have actually got a good cast of comic actors involved). :o

Oh and The Restaurant and Feirm Factor.

    Airline.

I love watching the people freak out and blame the staff when they turn up late for their flight.

Staff: I'm sorry, check in for that flight closed 15 minutes ago.

Passenger: But traffic was terrible and it's not my fault, why didnt you wait for me?

Staff: I'm sorry we cant delay an entire flight for 1 passanger.

Passanger: This is ridiculous, f*uck you and f*ck easyjet. I'll never fly easyjet again. British Airways would've waited.

    me: ha ha you f*ckwit.

I watch Coronation Street, something I could justify up until the death of Maggie Jones. No matter how crap the stories were it was always worth it for Blanche's scenes. But now I just watch it from habit, I blame having ITV NetPlayer on my tv service, there will always be a couple of boring hours during the week for me to pull it up and watch it.

I see several people mention shame; re Glee...i don't get that?

I watch TVD and GG...according to some a hanging offence, i'm also not ashamed of what i watch, Glee i would think the stigma has been lost.
